german deli - London Bridge

Borough Market, London SE1 9RL

I love this deli the food is brilliant - it is expensive but then it is a long way from home They accept payment by paypal if you order online and they deliver - delivery is always when they say and it is always well packed I just wish they were a bit bigger to carry more stock but you cant have everything There is also a hot sausage stall in the market itself - I would like potato saled on a tray instead of the bread which is much too much bread for a sausage Brilliant place - recommended

Hansel & Pretzel - Ham

I had promised my Mum a trip o this Deli. I have wanted to visit for ages. It tok us 2.5 hours to get there and we were really pleased with the selection and the lovely lady behind the counter I would have liked a basket to put my things in whilst I browsed My most favourite cake in the world is Bee Sting and we bought 4 of them - along with huge amounts of other things They should be almond, honey with custard in the middle and a sweet thin pastry base When we got home I found to my horror that the pastry was thick and the custard had been replaced with cream Both my Mum and I hate fresh cream - I called them late afternoon and said I was confused and the lady was really snippy "you should have checked" she said. I have got 9 German cookery books and 5 of them have bee sting receipes in - not one has cream in? It would never have occured to me to check it was the right cake - it was called bee sting..... Sadly I wont be going again as the horn cake I bought which should have been cheqy was rock hard! Leberwurst was good and blutwurst also good

stoem Susanhurst, you seem to have no idea that a German bee sting is always made with cream. They were right, you should have checked instead of leaving a 2 star review…
