Nail Designs - High Wycombe

158 Desborough Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP11 2QA

27-11-2008

i’ve been here quite a few times and had different people each time. i think the bloke is the best. one experience i had there was one of the girls was filing my nails and she cut herself and bled all over my hands and left me sat there while she looked for a plaster. the cut wasn’t major but the fact she left blood on me made me feel ill!! the nails there have been thick and come away from my own nail and personally don’t think they are very nice. just cheap! you pay for what you get.

Loch Fyne Restaurant - Beaconsfield

70 The White Horse, London End, Oxford Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire HP9 2JD

27-11-2008

friendly welcoming staff, good service, very reasonably priced food. everything from the bread to the fish to the vegetables were completely fresh and you could taste the freshness. the food was very delicious and will definately be back again for another visit. as it is a chain all loch fynes look very similar, theres plenty of parking and a couple of places to go after your meal.

Gilgamesh Restaurant - Camden

The Stables Market Chalk Farm Road, Camden, London NW1 8AH

27-11-2008

went for a drink at gilgamesh but the food smelt delicious! drinks were reasonably priced and bar staff were friendly. sat down near the dancefloor but we couldn’t talk because the music was so loud. i like loud music when the club is busy but when its not then it shouldn’t be like that. it was a beautiful restaurant/bar and there was a big garden swing upstairs which looked so elegant. toilets were lovely, accidently walked into the mens because the signs weren’t what i expected.

Tamarai - Covent Garden

167 Drury Lane, Holborn, London WC2B 5PG

Beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious! cocktails were amazing although they were pricey! there were about 16 of us and we were squashed on 1 round table with not much space for our plate. as there were so many of us we had to have the set menu and as soon as we arrived the food was brought out. our table was on the dancefloor and we had to finish by 9pm because people would start arriving for the club. felt it was quite rushed and that the staff just wanted us to hurry up and go. we asked if we could sit somewhere after we had eaten but was asked to buy a table (after spending over £400 for the dinner). No way!!! so we stood by the bar and bought a drink then left! the club wasn’t bad, liked the music but didn’t like the atmosphere.

Riu Adeje - Playa de las Américas

Avenida Bruselas 0, 38660 Playa de las Américas

Beautiful hotel. the reception and bar staff were so friendly and the cleaners came every other day and they were lovely too. we went self catering so we had our own kitchen which was fully equipped. the shops were very close by so didn’t have far to walk. we went out to the bars and clubs most nights and it was only about 8 euros for a taxi (this may have changed now i went in 2005). lovely spacious room, clean and tidy, we even had a tv. i would say this hotel is more for famillies rather than people in their 20s but i was very happy when we pulled up. not too much going on in the evenings, more chilled out than anything.

Amika - Kensington

65 High Street Kensington, London W8 5ED

Beautiful club, black marble entrance so quite difficult to see where your walking especially if you’ve had a few to drink. Friendly doorstaff, we waited quite a while to get in so i’d recommend getting there early. Music was funky/electro house. Good crowd of people, mixture of ages and everyone seemed to just wanna have fun. Lots of dancing on sofas etc. I liked the decor of this place, very trendy! we bought some tequila shots at the bar which was £9.00 each, bit pricey but it was a big shot. Not that many cubilcles in the toilet so you may have to queue.

Funky Buddha - Mayfair

15 Berkeley Street, London W1J 8DY

19-11-2008

The club is downstairs. Lots of interesting buddha statues around the bar and incense sticks burning so smells quite nice. Nice, small club. Music is varied, usually funky house and rnb. Vodka/Coke is about £8, Vodka/RedBull £11 so can be quite pricey but think they are double shots. Cloakroom is £1.50. Doorstaff and barstaff are friendly. Girls toilets are upstairs unless you’re in VIP then they are at the back of the club. There aren’t many toilets and it is really dark so quite hard to do your make up etc. There are 2 bars, one in main room and another small one in the back VIP room. Best nights to go are when Wes and CJ do their parties on Sundays.

Pure and Obsession - High Wycombe

14-16 Octagon Parade, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP11 2DG

Never a queue to get in unless an events planned. Cloakroom is £1.50 (well it was last time i went). Drinks are average priced for a club. Club is quite big and have only ever seen it full on bank holidays. I’m 25 so I think i’m too old for this place. Music is rubbish apart from when Paul plays his rnb set. Carpet is sticky. Lots of toilets but they always run out of loo roll and its almost guaranteed you will see sick or wee all over the floor at some point of the night. Bar staff are nice though. Doormen (well one in particular) should be sacked, he laughed along with his mates as they harrassed a drunk girl! Also same doorman had to throw out a guy, not sure what he did but doorman threw him head first on to floor 3 times infront of me and my friends. Thought that was disgusting behaviour!

Carbon - Marylebone

Old Quebec Street, Marylebone, London W1C 1LZ

19-11-2008

My favourite London club in the West End where people are NOT pretentious they are just out to have fun and party. Music is a total mix, they play rnb, funky house and old skool! I love it. The design of this club is so different to any other club i’ve been to. There is a chain room which is sectioned off to the other parts of the club by chains hanging from the ceiling to the floor and VIP room upstairs which overlooks the downstairs bar. Loads of toilets so never have to queue very long. If you don’t get there early you should expect to queue to get in and also for the cloakroom, but get there for 10pm and its more or less straight in. Friendly promoters/door staff and bar staff. Drinks prices are average, cloakroom is £2.

Dolce - Westminster

10 Air Street, London W1B 5AB

19-11-2008

Went on a saturday night, queue did not take too long. Door staff were friendly. Cloakroom was £2.00 per item. A glass of white wine was £9.20 which was very expensive even for a London club. The wine was not to my taste, very dry! Music was funky/electro house at the beginning then rnb for the rest of night. The club itself was beautiful, stunning chandeliers, raised platform dancefloor, incense sticks burning to make it smell nice and waterfalls! Only problem with waterfalls was that it made the club quite humid and sticky when it was full. Got very busy, so busy it was a struggle to move without knocking into someone. Plenty of toilets so shouldn’t queue too long.
