I visited L'Autre Pied in January as they had a special offer of 50% discount on. Even with this discount I thought the food was a little overpriced compared to other restaurants of a similar quality.
It's situated just off Marylebone High Street on a street of bustling restaurants. When you book they'll call you to verify the day before so expect a random call. The service was lovely with the Maitre'D and somellier in particular paying a lot of attention.
The meal starts with a consomme of chestnut and bacon served in a emptied out egg shell which was a little random. They didn't check if we had any food requirements though before serving that, but it was a nice touch. I had the scallops starter which was lovely and followed it with a venison main. Although nice and full of interesting flavours the meat was a little tough and this probably leads to my complaints about the price.
It was a nice evening, but it didn't impress me enough to want to return.
