Blue Bell Inn - Brampton

Newbiggin Heads Nook, Brampton, Cumbria CA8 9DH

27-04-2010 (updated on 19-02-2012)

A wonderful little country pub that really fits into the idyllic surroundings of the small cumbrian hamlet of Newbiggin.

The pub is a small place but this only brings you in closer to country-like feel of the place.

The pub itself boasts a pool table and its own dart team. But when neither pool balls nor bullseyes are being hit, it is a relaxing place to sit at a table and et a gourmet meal or sit at the bar with a pint in your hand listening to all the interesting and funny storys being passed around.

The food of the pub comes in a wide range that is most likely going to be the freshest you’ll taste in this part of the county. although the service can be a bit slow at times, it gives you time to soak up the atmosphere of the place or have a quick game of pool.

So if your in the area, either as a tourist or just passing through, its a very good idea to just stop and maybe sit outside and admire the most beautiful county in england.

Penrith & Eden Community Hospital - Penrith

Bridge Lane, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 8HX

28-06-2010

If youre going to end up in a hospital for any reason at all. hope it turns out to be penrith.

this small community hospital is NHS run, but this dosen't compormise the service you get from it. the staff are friendly and wecoming. and it lies right next to penrith ambulance depot, so if you need a transfer, you wont have a long wait.

Penrith Leisure Centre - Penrith

Southend Road, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 8JH

14-01-2010

There can't be one sport that can not be tried out at penrith leisure centre.

this newly refurbished building houses a swimming pool, gym and bowls pitch along with many other specialist sites to enjoy your favourite sports.

it also has a rather small cafe to relax in after some sports.

danimal Great review thanks! Is the pool more suited for kids or for proper lane swimming?

Somerfield Stores - Penrith

22-27 King Street, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 7AJ

13-01-2010

this is one of the smallest supermakets that we know of. but that dosen't disrupt the quality of food and help you recieve at their stores.

as you roam around their stores you find lots of intresting treasures at exceptionally low prices.

and now that they have become part of the co-op family. you can buy your favourite co-op products at somerfield stores as well

Gianni's Pizzeria - Penrith

11 Market Square, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 7BY

13-01-2010

You walk through the arch on the bust street and you are engulfed by the relaxing and warm atmosphere of a typical truly italian pizzeria.

the plants in the outside patio drag you into what you think is a small italian house and when you ascend the steps up into the restraunt itself you are no loger in a small english market town. but instead in one of the finest pizzerias in italy.

this small restraunt can cater for all ages as they serve up some of the best pizzas in penrith. if you are in penrith and in need of a pizza. you could always stop at the take away down the road. but if I were you. I would make the effort to step into the italian wonderland that is Gianni's Pizzeria

Harper Cycles & Toymaster - Penrith

1-2 Middlegate, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 7PG

13-01-2010

A lovely little toyshop which is nestled in the corner of the main street.

with a colourful array of toys inside and out, its difficult not to get drawn into his well spaced shop set over three floors.

with reasonable prices its easy to see that this is just one of the shops that brings penrith alive.
