i had a great lunch here on saturday with a very reasonable bill at the end.
i had spagetti with chorizo in a cabonara style sauce, it was delish, the chorizo was very good quality. My friend had one of the pizza things (not called pizza) which was really thin and tasty, one of the best pizzas that i have tried in a while. My other friend had a bean and veg stew which she said was good but the potatos were a wee bit too firm.
the only downside was the pan catalan, not enough tomatoyness and too hard.
the service was great, very friendly and not too attentive and even though it was very busy we didnt feel at all rushed.
we will be back soon for a brunch to try out the toast section of the menu.

i have had mixed experiences here, sometimes good but sometimes really bad.
the last time i went my chips tasted like fish, obviously cooked in the same fryer, which is not a good thing.
i doubt that i will go back.

i always enjoy the great burgers that are massive! i usually go for the beef but the southern fried chicken one is great too.
the lunch and tea time specials are great value but as has been metioned previously it can be a bit pricey otherwise.
the sunday brunch is pretty good too but the spicy potatos can be a bit too spicy.
service is generally pretty good, especially from the waitress with a tattoo of popppers (?!).
i noticed this morning that there is now a branch at the bottom of byres road in the site previously occupied by north of bondi, i will need to check it out soon.
The Lighthouse Trust - Glasgow
11 Mitchell Lane, Glasgow, Scotland G1 3NU

i love the lighthouse! the exhibitions are always fantastic and change often enough to encourage repeat visits, and now that it is free on a saturday there really is no excuse not to go (£4 the rest of the time is still fantastic value - i would pay that just for the views from the top and the chance to walk about the building).
the doocot cafe is great even though it doesnt seem to do the crispy gnocci starter it used to and the shop is great for gettting gifts (for others or yourself).
the mackintosh section is good for tourists or people who are interested in his work.
it is down the same lane of buchanan st as bar 10 and soba.
Brodies - Glasgow

i love brodies, i dont understand why it never seems that busy when i pop in for lunch.
service is always great and the soup and a sandwich for a fiver at lunch cant be beaten.
it is clearly loved by the owners and the staff seem like a big family

a great venue, the best of its size in glasgow. i have been to more gigs in here than i can remember, i was there about once a week in my teenage years. good times.
Tramway - Glasgow

i love the tramway cafe so much that i almost dont want to review it, i dont want it to get too busy.
the theatre space is fantastic and puts on excellent plays.
the cafe is a great place to spend a day, the soups are always excellent and they do a great cream tea for a few pounds. i had the lamb burger the last time i was there and it was delicious.
and then you have the secret gardens, a lovely wee place to have a walk round and enjoy the scenery.
Wagamama - Glasgow

i love wagamama, the reasons that i would rather go here than ichiban (which i also love) are: edamame, fantastic and none at ichiban and the rice is a shorter grain and goes better with the chicken katsu curry.
you have to get the gyoza, your tummy will thank you!

the best of the chinese buffets in glasgow, the chicken satay skewers available in the evening are fantastic and well worth the extra couple of quid that you pay later.
the take away box is a great deal and i can assure you that you can fit in more than enough for a filling meal.
finally i must mention the wall of desserts - awesome!
