2 Cardiff Lane Sir John Rogersons Quay Dublin, D2 Dublin
Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane formerly Quality Hotel - Dublin
A reasonable hotel and comfortable rooms near the river and in walking distance to several charming pubs and restaurants. My only complaint was that despite advertsing this as a spa hotel the spa wasnt open the weekend while i was there so it was a huge disappointment. Although the reception manager took off a few charges on my bill to compensate i was very sad not to get the benefits of the huge advert in the hall!

A significant improvement since terminal 5 but alas the passport control experience continues to deteriorate at all terminals despite the new auto check in systems. Staff at terminals 1 and 3 are significantly worse and often surly. but for shopping alone terminal 5 is the best! fashion boutiques and beauty lines are abundant and the service much improved.

Sheikh Dama Issa, at the 4th interchange, Dubai
The very fact this mall has an indoor ski slope is quite enough reason to give it 5 stars. the fact is it is very amusing to see brave ladies in burkhas attempting the ski slopes (bravo to them!) and toboggans are no reason to stop anyone careering down a homemade ski-slope. Coupled with the huge array of shops and restaurants (including a rather good Debenhams) what's not to like?

Interesting to see Carnaby Street categorised as "Menswear" since as a female frequenter of this area i would never describe it as such. Carnaby Street boasts a long history of Fashion. pubs, shoes and fashion for all and is an essential haunt for most mod lovers and fashion concious punters.

For me Ben Sherman have started to lose their way fashion wise-forgetting their roots and really not getting that fabric and style go hand in hand. for example they create a selection of tonic suits in 2 buttons style..when really the fabric called for 3 buttons in true 60s style. it was also a shame they deleted their female range. Staff are friendly enough but rarely know their mod cut from their fat bastard cut.

Brasserie Le Remous - Thonon les Bains
Really poor service and standard of food. I ordered wine and was not given a glass to drink it from despite several requests for one. The salad was dripping with dressing and the steak was inedible (see picture) Very very poor.

Down town burj dubai, Dubai
A fabulous example of a Reiss outlet, clothes carefully laid out so you can see everything clearly and the quality of design is firstclass.

As with all zara boutiques service and stock varies-and best to avoid at the weekend and sales unless you like queuing for hours to try something on. however as you might expect the oxford street branches (and there are several) have the best selection.
