Wow this is a plush set up. The hotel staff are so accommodating. Was there on business and happy to see they had a 24 hour business center where I was able to finish my work after hours. An absolute must is the pool deck on the top floor. What a view and how cool to be swimming 20 stories up in such a lush environment. Loved it to bits :)

SUSHI !!! this is the home of fine Sushi eating and I loved it. I chose the assorted ten piece platter which came in at a very reasonable R120. My girlfriend opted for the prawn curry and she was totaly blown away by it. I stole a quick taste and ,yes, it was delicious. Staff were as attentive as could be given it was very busy. Service was slightly slow but I couldn't fault them.

This place has made pizza stylish and to be honest, they have done a good job of it. They are innovative in the sense that you can enter competitions to become "Their Celebrity Chef" by creating your own array of Italian dishes. The food was superb to say the least and the drinks menu very catering. Ten points :)

How can you not love Thai cuisine, and the best place in Johannesburg to eat Thai is at Kai Thai.. They have an authentic menu and if you not sure what to eat then the staff will make recommendations to you. I happened to mention that I love spicy food and they recommended the "Angry Duck" which let me be honest, blew me away with a mouth full of sizzling sensations. The price is very accommodating and for about R300 you can dine on a superb array of exotic foods.

Bruma lake is a perfect stop for those looking to find anything and everything. It is a secure and safe flea market with good security and parking. The food stalls offer a wide range of exotic foods and if you there be sure to get yourself a lamb schwarma .. they are delicious. The range of goods on sale range from leather goods, electrical appliances, tattoo's, DVD's etc. I love stopping here when in Johannesburg.

A classy hotel with a fine restaurant. For 50 euros you can enjoy a superb three course meal which although on the pricey side of things is filled with things like oysters and lobster. The decor is old victorian which has a certain appeal to it and the hotel itself is filled with friendly and helpful staff. I loved my stay there.

I went in here looking for a birthday card and was left in awe at the variety they had on offer. When I eventually found my singing card, I was also able to get wrapping paper, ribbon and tape all for under 10 pounds. Staff were helpful and asked me enough questions about who the gift was for to then recommend me a suitable wrapping paper. They even wrapped the gift that I had on me there in the shop. How friendly :)

I often stop in here to pick up on various bits and pieces for carp fishing. Their selection of baits is fantastic with a few home made specialties on offer too. I picked up a snazzy Grauvell SC Carp FX 360 rod for 60 pounds which as a beginner I thought was a bargain.

I bought my first carp tackle here at this shop and the man behind the counter was only too friendly to help a novice angler like myself get into the vast world of carp tackle. I bought a Shakespeare Cypry rod and a Shimano bait runner plus various scents and baits all for under 150 quid. Not a bad little deal.

As Pizza Hut goes, this place is standard. The decor had the plastic fast food look to it which is not very appealing however the food is on par with what you expect. Prices are standard and therefore you can expect to pay around 15 pounds for two people to eat comfortably.
