If you like bought in meals and don’t care for your food to have flavour or seasoning, this is the place for you.
Here is what we had:
Mozzarella Fondue
sharing fondue, heated with a touch of chilli,
served with tortilla chips, crudités and flat breads
This translates to some weird red pepper and chilli sauce with blobs of barely melted mozzarella. Served with shoelaces of carrots and other veg. Flat bread = pitta chips! (We sent this attrocity back)
Cajun Chicken Alfredo
Cajun spiced chicken on a bed of penne pasta in a creamy
basil pesto sauce
This means: a weird thin and watery sauce with some cooked basil bits and no pesto. The chicken was alright.
(This was sent back)
Brioche Bread and Butter Pudding
a stunning brioche pudding, pulled together with a rich creamy
custard with a hint of vanilla, then finished with a sweet apricot glaze
This means: a soggy disgusting creation, with no seasoning and very strange smell. Served with creme anglaise NOT CUSTARD. I saw no vanilla beans in this, which leaves me to believe that the vanilla flavour is coming from vanilla essence. (I ate one spoonful and left the rest).
There were also some pink fruits masquerading as strawberries.
My partner had the chicken terriyaki, it was drowing in terriyaki and the noodles tasted like the precooked kind.
I did manage to order a burger that was quite tasty. It was served with some dried up chips. You know the kind? The one that require you to drink a gallon of coke to wash them down your throat!
There is really nothing special about this restuarant that you can’t get elsewhere in the area.
If you really want a burger go next door to the gourmet burger kitchen.
It was not very busy, in fact almost empty. The interior is cream and sage with some nice big lights. Wooden tables and chairs. It’s safe and boring. Nothing interesting to look at.
In an area like Hampstead, you can be choosy where to go to eat. Do not choose here.

I’m a Dill pickle fanatic! Thank goodness for this shop. There are no Dill’s like Bick’s.
They sell all manner of Canadian foodstuffs here. Crisps, chocolate, sweets, baking stores, bbq sauce, kraft dinner and cereals. It is expensive though so I only go here as a treat.
They do a postal service. Which is fab for those of us who cannot get into London that often!
There are somethings that they sell here that you can get in a UK supermarket for better prices so don’t get carried away.

At the moment they are offering lunch and dinner specials. With a starter and main or main and dessert and pot of tea or coffee for £7.95. (Check for times)
We had prawn cocktail, not so great as the praws were obviously the frozen kind. Sat on top a bed of fresh crunchy iceburg lettuce and smothered in sauce.
The haddock was a generous sized piece which I had in motzah. The chips were lovely, nice and dry and crispy. Tartar sauce seemed homemade too, though a bit too oniony.
The banana fritter was the best I have ever had in my life! The batter was so crisp and the banana was still solid and not soggy inside. Served with vanilla icecream.
My partner had scampi and jacket potato. They gave hime two whole potatoes!
They have a takeaway section too.

Great Seafood and value for money? Impossible you say? Well it is possible at Loch Fyne.
The menu is lovely and a good but not overwhelming selection with a few meat dishes for those not keen on food from the deep blue. (Even a veggies starter and main)
We had the lobster bisque which was served at an appropriate temperature. Lovely!
We shared a shellfish platter with crab. It consisted of hot mussels in garlic sauce, razor clam, cold scallops, prawns, smoked crevettes, king prawns, languostines, oysters, squid and a whole crab. (£34 for two people)
We had creme brulee for dessert. Desserts are shown on a board.
I cannot complain in the least about this meal. The service was exceedingly good.
But be warned: make a reservation. They were turning customers away.

Love the classics? Dickens, Balzac? Lobster Thermidor, Beef Wellington?
Oslo Court is a restuarant harking back to a bygone era. It is located in a mansion block. If you ever fantasized about going back in time, this is your chance to do so gastronomically and the decor set the scene for your journey.
The staff are outstandingly attentive, every morsel is cooked to perfection. The dessert waiter has a fantastic trolley and he has always saved the last creme caramel for you!
If your tastebuds are watering thinking of the classic french food, you better get on the phone now to make a booking. They are always booked up months ahead.
