Very comfortable, conveniently located. Quiet, nice restaurant, both for breakfast and for an evening meal.

We chose this hotel because it was close enough both from the city centre and from Gare de l’Est where we arrived by train. The hotel was super cosy and nice, but the walk from Gare de l’Est was not the most pleasant, it’s a rather shabby neigbourhood. However, it felt safe alright, just unpleasant.

Well, we all know what the word “Cinematheque” means. It’s a heaven for film buffs like myself, a place where they have independent cinema, special screenings, old films you would not have seen otherwise and so on and so forth. The admission price is ridiculously low, the films are exceptionally good, it’s an all-win game.

An excellent place to visit if you like arthouse films. It hosts many festivals, and their regular program never disappoints either. Conveniently close to the city centre, so it’s easy to pop in after work.

It’s a lovely cinema mainly intended for mainstream movies. Big cinema theatres, spacious seats, possibility to book online makes it a very attractive destination for a relaxed evening!

In my opinion, one of the main great things about Chiggeri is the quality of their Sunday brunches. I went there with a friend, and it was most enjoyable, albeit a bit pricey!

A lovely place to come for some cake! Their selection of flavours for hot chocolates is amazing too of course. Last time there I tried the “wasabi and orange” flavour, that would give you some idea of how crazy they can get (in a good way)!

A very nice Italian restaurant, conveniently located next door from the Utopia cinema. Prices are delightfully low, with main courses starting from 8-10 euro. The portions of pizza, pasta and risotto are huge, you would not need starters with that!

A wonderful shop with the most friendly owner selling a great variety of teas from all over the world. Perfectly located in the city centre too.

A wonderful little store with the most distinguished gourmet food from France, Italy, etc. Whether you’re looking for high quality foie gras or extra fine balsamic vinegar, you will find it there for sure.
