Barburrito - Manchester
1 Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester, Greater Manchester M1 1RG
24-12-2010
Barburrito is a brilliant restaurant in central Manchester. It is very reasonably priced with a great student discount also (20%). The food is very high quality with a choice of burritos, tacos or nachos with your choice of meat, beans, salsa and all the other toppings. The food is served/made like at Subway, so you walk along the other side of the counter and point to the different things you want in your meal and they ake it in front of you. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the seating area has a nice atmosphere, is clean and bright with a good view over piccadilly gardens and also a great mix of music is played in the background. Really like this place, even went there for my valentines meal! Definately recommend it if you are ever in the area, absolutely great!
Octopus - Westminster
The Piazza, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8RB
01-12-2008
Octopus is definately a very unique shop. They have a large variety of crazy and weird items. I think the shop is slightly overpriced but then again- you wont find the stuff in Octopus anywhere else. The items range from watering can bags to eyeball bracelets to lighters… The products are ideal for gifts as they are unusual and not something you would really think to buy for yourself. The staff can be quite pestering and so means that you feel like there is someone watching over your shoulder while you browse around but other than that it is a nice little shop.
Police Box - Earls Court
earls court, London SW5 9AD
01-12-2008
This is here becasue of the Doctor WHo exhibition. It’s the TARDIS!! (Time And Relative Dimention In Space). You aren’t able to go inside it but it makes a good photo opportunity for Doctor Who fans and kids also love it. Very fun to tell the kids that Doctor Who is somewhere near fighting some aliens for us!
Fulham Broadway Station - Fulham
470 Fulham Road, Fulham, London SW6 1BY
01-12-2008
This is a great station as it has loads of shops inside. There is a giant sainsburys so if you are goign to the cinema, i recommend you go here before. There is a good variety of cafes, restaurants, and other shops. Really good place to go.
Greggs - Fulham
702c Fulham Rd, Fulham, London SW6 5SA
01-12-2008
Greggs is a great place to get a bite to eat. It is good to be able to have cheap hot food that does taste good. It is very cheap with pasties costing less than a pound. Admittedly they do not taste amazing, but in this cold weather it is so nice to be able to eat something warm. The staff are friendly and helpful but dont talk to much.
Manhattan Cafe & Catering - Fulham
28 Parsons Green Lane, Fulham, London SW6 4HS
01-12-2008
Manhattan cafe sells very nice food. It gets quite busy and lunchtimes but there is always a good vibe and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is freshly made and is very tasty. They also rent movies and popcorn etc.
Kew Gardens Station - Kew
Station Parade, Kew, London TW9 3PS
01-12-2008
kew Gardens is a very nice station. It is quite small and there are oyster card machines so you can top up. There is a really nice restaurant looking onto the tracks, but persoanlly I cant see why you would want to be looking/ hearing trains while you had a coffee
Urban Outfitters - Covent Garden
42-56 Earlham Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9LA
01-12-2008
Urban Outfitters has some really great clothes. When I go I recommend going to the sale section which is usally on the top floor, as it is so much more affordable. The main section has dresses for around £60 or £40 whereas the sale section can have them for as cheap as £5. The clothes are more unique than those on the rest of the high sreet and do last for ages. They do great gifts as well as menswear, womenswear and a music section.
Cineworld - Chelsea
142 Fulham Road, London SW10 9QR
01-12-2008
I recommend going to cineworld to watch the Movies 4 Juniors on saturday mornings. Every Saturday any film shown at 10.00am is only £1 per ticket. Bargain
The films are of a high standard but tend to be ones that may have just been released on DVD rather than ones still showing normally in cinemas but its a great excuse to be able to take the kids to the cinema without having to spend about £20 for the whole family to go!
Gourmet Burger Kitchen - Earls Court
163 Earls Ct Road, Earls Court, London SW5 9RF
01-12-2008
Gourmet Burger Kitchen has ok burgers. The burgers are quite average tasting. They look good and they are huge and made to look good but they are not as good as I would expect from a reastaurant named GOURMET BURGER Kitchen. The meals are around £7 for a burger which is pretty good. The staff are always very helpful and friendly to make a really great experience.
