Ok first off, I’m quite reluctant to write a review for this place as It’s the type of gem you want to keep to yourself. For me this is undoubtedly the best Vietnamese restaurent in London and I have been to a fair few. It’s menu may be limited for some but what they do offer is the best you can get -Fresh ingrediants and authentic tasting dishes. Service is always prompt and freindly. Dishes are well prices and portions are generous. You may find when you go that there is a cue outside the door, don’t be surprised as this is the norm and you’ll prob have to wait a while before getting a seat. But it’s well worth it! When you enter you’ll likey see loads of people slurping away on their steaming hot bowls of 'Pho’ (highly recommended). If you read this and go, please let me know what you think on here. And if you don’t go well perhaps that’s a good thing, as maybe I’ll be able to find a seat.
I’ve changed the address as Cafe east has finally moved to a bigger and better location!
The old Place has now become MAMA PHO. Review coming soon!!!!

The harrods food hall is one of them places I like to visit once in a while but rarely get anything. I like the hustle and bustle the place gives off. The authentic foods they sell from various regions, And the strange smells and enviroments. It’s great for the imagination and kids will definetly love it. I remember coming here as a child and being full of wonder.
The reason I say I rarely buy anything is because many items I feel are way overpriced. But sometimes temptation is too much and I just have to give in.

Crisp street’s Somerfield has been around for a long time now serving locals with the usual affair. Being a fair sized supermarket it stocks all the essentials, unlike Tesco which seem to sell everything these days. Parking is available close by as well as the Market. Which if your after your fruit and veg you might be able to find cheaper there anyway. This store has daily promotions and cues never get stupid long which for me is always important. I hate spending more time in the cue than shopping.

This is my local, well it’s one of my locals and has been around for years! I have memories from childhood eating here. So although I don’t (try not to) visit too often it still holds a plaice somewhere in my heart. The Fish and chips here are fantastic and much better than alot of the local rivals, which is why this place has been estblished for so long. Like many I believe it is family run and service is always with a smile.

A bit of a mixed service here, back in the day (meaning a couple of years ago) service and food here was pretty good. But lately for me that service and food I’m afraid has dropped…dramaticly. The last time I went our orders took in excess of an hour and that was just the starters. By the time our pizza arrived it was semi cold/warm and worst of all it was dry. Who like’s dry pizza? No amount of side dip was going to help. So we asked the staff to do something about it. Well 5 minutes later they come out with the same pizza but this time it’s even drier and half of it is warm/hot and the other is COLD! Simply unexceptable. I’m quite sad to only give this place a 1 star as like I said at the start it used to be quite good. But like the sad few restaurents, over time service can drop.
