Zero stars for this Company. Ordered a satellite receiver 8.45 on the Tuesday morning. Chose this retailer as they are a authorised dealer and their website boasts excellent customer service with the "telephone number on every page" so help is always at hand.

We expected the receiver to be delivered on the Wednesday as they do advertise next day delivery and we had ordered before 1pm on the Tuesday.

Was concerned on Wednesday lunchtime that the order had not been changed from "processing" and no emails re despatch. So we phoned and was extremely alarmed that the phone rang for about 7 times then went on to the engaged tone!! We therefore sent an email via the contact form on the website at lunch time.

At tea time no response to the email and the phones were still doing the same, ringing out then engaged.

Thursday, still no change to the order, tried various times throughout the day and phones were just the same. I sent emails to the sales/enquiry email address as we still had not had a response to the contact us web form and was now very worried when all emails bounced back.

I really thought that we had been had big time by now. I phoned the manufacturer to express my concern and they were brilliant. They obviously had another telephone number for Proton and within 10 minutes I got an email back from a different email than is on their website saying they were having problems with the phones???

So, I am told the receiver is ready, just waiting on a courier. I then receive a further email at just before 6pm advsing that the courier had not collected the item. So now it will be Friday which means no receiver until Monday.

On Friday lunchtime, still no word of the receiver being collected, no idea when it would be collected the phones STILL no working (great for a communications company).

We therefore cancelled the order and requested our money back. Had to send a reminder email to them on the Tuesday re the refund, which we did eventually get.

Maybe we were unlucky but the customer service for us is certainly not what they advertise on their website.

We orderered our receiver from satellite superstore and got the next day deliver. Excellent.

Beautiful setting but that is as far as it goes.

Visited twice (will not visit a third time) and both times encountered very rude staff who really could do with some training in customer service.

The food is over priced and over cooked and not worth what they charge.

Big disappointment

This is my second visit to Ancora when I visit my mum who llives in Oldham.
I remember the place as the old "Red Barn" pub however it has been transformed into a wonderful restaurant which has a great ambience and serves excellent food.

Returned for my second visit on Thursday 30th September with my hubby and mum and we had wonderful food and wine. The staff are extremely attentive and efficient.

Hubby has home made pate which he said was delicious, then he and mum had lasagne verdi and I had pasta in a creamy tomato sauce with asparagus, aubergine and courgette. It was delicious. We all had garlic bread to share.

For dessert Mum has Tiramisu and I had citrus pudding which were both superb. We finished with coffees. We had the Montepulciano house wine with the meal which was excellent.

Was very pleasantly surprised at the end when our total for the three of us came to just under £50.

Can highly recommend Ancora for excellent quality food, wine and service.
