Good pub for watching the footie. They have several screens around the pub. Beer is reasonably priced also. The food is not amazing, but probably better than you'd expect from a pub that shows the footie. Great selection of burgers

Have been here a few times now. The service has always been very friendly and the food good. I now tend to go here over the curry houses in East Grinstead which are a lot closer.

Update April 2011: still more than happy with Bengal Village. Really friendly staff who go out of their way for you. Good food, great service and fantastic value

I used marine events to charter a boat for an afternoon for a friends stag do. Steve at Marine Events was really helpful, and gave me all the necessary advance information. He was competitive on pricing, but still provided a really well kept and clean boat for the afternoon. They are more geared up for corporate entertainment than stag dos, but the crew seemed pretty relaxed about having a bunch of lads on the boat. We cruised around off the coast off Poole and Bournemouth and moored up for a spot of swimming. We all had a go at driving the boat, which was a lot of fun.

Overall a great afternoon out on the water and a really professional set up at Marine Events. I would definitely use again and recommend for both private parties and corporate functions.

We hired a boat and skipper for a weekend in April sailing in the Solent for a friends stag do. Dave at Synergy sailing was quick to get back to me with prices and availability and was happy to amend the itinerary to suit the group. None of our group were experienced sailors and Dave was really patient and relaxed giving us guidance about what we should be doing. We had a great weekend and I would definitely recommend Synergy sailing to others.

This place is great setting for a wedding or event. It would get more stars except for a few minor but annoying features. I think the owners must have been health and safety officers in the past as there are a lot of funny rules which have to rigidly adhered to, and there are unsightly signs all over the place which can ruin a great photo (the staff should make sure they dont get in the photos either - pretty obvious you would have thought). Things to be aware of as they will cost you yet more money are the requirement to have wedding insurance, the fact that they insist you have to use their in house DJ, and that you have to use one of their approved caterers, none of which come cheap either. That said, the caterers were of a high standard and overall it is a good venue.

I went here for honeymoon in June and stayed 5 nights. There are only about 8 rooms, so its really peaceful. The rooms are done to a high spec with a lovely mix of rustic charm and mordern comfort. The photos on the website are a pretty good representation of what its actually like comapared to a lot of hotels we stayed at. You will definately need a car to get around, and I would thoroughly reccomend getting a sat nav with European roads on (borrowed or bought as expensive to hire form the car hire people) and using the co-ordinates on the website to find the place as its fairly remote.

I used the caterers for my wedding in June 2009. They are certainly not the cheapest (but not the most expensive either) you will find, but are one of the best. The food was of excellent quality and all staff extremely professional. They came up with interesting menu options and were able to tweak them so that we got it exactly how we wanted it. We were so pleased that we chose these guys to do the food for us and would definately use them again (hopefully not for another wedding) and reccomend them to our friends.

Great little shop run by the resident artist Nigel. Service is really friendly and low pressure. The shop stocks original art as well as a good mix of home wares from vases to furniture. Well worth a visit if you are passing through or dont live too far away.

I went here following the favourable review on here, and was extremely dissapointed. It was a Saturday night in December and there were only a few small groups in there. The meat and sea food were of extremely poor quality to the extent that we only ate a token amount of the main course. I complained there and then and the staff seemed largely uninterested almost as if I was making it up. Really cant see me going back here. The Prosperity in Forest Row is a much better alternative in my opinion.

Decent fish and chip shop, does take away and eat in. We had haddock and the fish was meaty, and the chips very good, just what you want form a chipie in my opinion.
