Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital - Bloomsbury

34 Great Ormond Street, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 3JH

03-06-2009

I love this hospital as they really go the extra mile. The staff are like angels and never seem to busy or stressed. My friend spent a little time here and they really took care of her. The docters are approachable and sincere and they want to help. It also very very clean but as with all hospital they could do with extra funding.

Legoland - Windsor

Winkfield Road, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 4AY

03-06-2009

Lego land is great for children of all ages. Well what I really mean is me! I loved it but next I plan to take a credit card so I can just buy what I want in the gift store-or better still tell all my friends near my birthday-that should keep the bank manager happy. Seriously if you are visiting then pack a picnic and some dettol wipes as the facilities really require them. Overall everyone will enjoy this experience. It is based in Windsor

Freemasons' Hall - Covent Garden

60 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ

03-06-2009

I literally had to track this space down after reading the De Vinci Code. I love a little conspiracy theory like the best of them! Actually this is quite a fascinating experience and you do learn a lot. History can be taught quite straight lined so this shows you all the side views. A must visit for anyone that want to think out of the box!

London Transport Museum - Covent Garden

39 Wellington Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 7BB

03-06-2009

This is a great museum for kids and the exhibits are very interactive. The gift shop is worth a visit if just for their mugs-the tube ones! The location is well connected and there is plenty to keep a young mind engaged for a good couple of hours. I really do not think that you will regret visiting.

RAF Museum - London

Grahame Park Way, colindale, London NW9 5RA

03-06-2009

If you know some that likes planes then this is the place for them. I took my neqhew who is mad about planes and he had a brilliant time. They cover so much in detail that I who have an aversion to all things even slightly technical was intrigued and wanted to know more. They also cover all the engineering aspects of flights and the staff are more than willing to answer almost all questions.

Columbia Road Flower Market - Shoreditch

Columbia Road, London E2 7RG

03-06-2009

This flower market is always busy and if you really want something a little extra special then get there early on a Sunday morning. The prices are by means the cheapest but the quality is unquestionable. Have a stroll first and then pick the flowers you want to buy. Bring plenty of cash but please be wary as there are lots of pick pockets about.

Sherlock Holmes Museum - Marylebone

221b Baker Street, off Oxford St, London NW1 6XE

03-06-2009

My friend dragged me here as she is obsessed and was really dissapointed. They staff seemed quited disinterested and it took us the best part of an afternoon to find this place-which really is not well sign posted. There really was not that much in way of contents and the opening times felt quite restrictive. They have a gift purchasing area and everything is very expensive.

Pollock's Toy Museum - Fitzrovia

1 Scala Street, London W1T 2HL

03-06-2009

Please take any children that you know here at least once. It is fabulous,if i could i would try and move in! When i was a child i came here just the once but it made a impact on me so when i was able to i found it again and come along. They staff are very friendly
and attentive. Kids will really enjoy it and be really suprised that there where toys before Playstation!!!

Lincolns Inn Fields - Holborn

London WC2A 3ED

03-06-2009

Come out of Holborn tube and take a right-walk into an alleyway, carry on walking and you are richly rewarded. This is the secret reserve of the legal elite but ther is nothing stopping you bringing you sandwiches and having a seat on the benches.Ok the people walking past will be starring at you wondering which of the firms you are working for so brush up on your 'ps and qs’.

St. Pauls - Blackfriars

St. Pauls Churchyard, St Paul's Churchyard, London EC4M 8AE

03-06-2009

This is one of the most famous Cathedrals in the world and is at its very best when in use. Their is always a multitude of tourists milling around but take my advice-visit in the winter. Especially near Christmas- the Cathedral becomes alive and is filled with music, laughter and love. Try and may go for service which is also quite special. They are all very welcoming whatever your faith.
