First visited Loro Parque in 1971 when it had a Parrot Show and cages around the Park with Various species of Parrots + Other Birds; a Giant Turtle; Pink Flamingoes and a few Monkeys.
Over the Decades I have seen it grow gradually to it’s Current size + the vast Array of Birds, Animals, a Large walk-through Aquarium, which Arches over your Head, containing all sorts of Sea Life; Penguins in their Natural State on a Large Ice Flow etc; etc; etc. Must be seen to be believed. Too amazing for words alone !!!!
In addition to all this there is the “Thai Village” generating a very “Peaceful + Relaxing.
Good Value for Money for the Park but don’t eat here as it is quite expensive from that point of view. As you leave the Park there are myriad Cafes, Bars + Restaurants where you can have a Drink, Snack or a Meal at very reasonable prices. Try the Bars run by Locals as they are cheapest and , after all, it is their Country !!!

This place is an absolute must if you are in Tenerife, especially if you have kids - they will love it.
I think it has the largest collection of bird species in captivity in the world, not to mention the long list of other attractions including tigers, gorillas and the penguinarium to name but a few.
Don’t miss the sealion show, dolphin show or parrot show as they will take your breath away.
I can’t remember the entry price but it was very reasonable for a full days entertainment, and the places to eat weren’t too expensive either, although they were quite busy when we were there.

From the moment you enter Loro Parque it’s obvious no expense has been spared to create amazing spaces for the animals. The first thing we saw was the vast gorilla enclosure and one of the magnificent creatures running towards us at full speed - an awe inspiring sight! Next onto the Penguinarium where they have created a superb recreation of the natural habitat complete with iceberg and tonnes of falling snow. Watching them joyfully jumping and diving into the water made London Zoo’s concrete penguin enclosure seem cruel. The day was topped off by the best sea lion show I have ever seen. These people really care about the animals and Loro Parque is one of the main reasons we are returning to Tenerife next year.

If you find yourself on the beautiful island of Tenerife then you simply must visit the Loro park which is basically a zoo but it offers so much more than you get from zoo`s in the UK.
The Loro park has some amazing animals and they set up their feeding times and shows so no matter what time you arrive you are certain to get to see more than animals lazing in the sun.
There are some great places to eat and drink throughout the park and it really is a great DAY out rather than a great few hours.
I have been to this park several times now and could never tire of it, the surroundings are beautiful and the closeness of the animals takes your breath away.
An absolute must if you visit Tenerife!
