NH Frankfurt City

This is a perfectly comfortable hotel, rather nice in fact. The location is a handy one, particularly as one of the best bars in Frankfurt is just round the corner. A bit expensive, but then Frankfurt is not a cheap city.

A few things let the place down, the main thing being the absolute mess they made of our check in. I know a group with separate bookings arriving all at once can be a bit confusing but how they managed to have one of my friends checked in as me and had me down as a 'walk in' but under the same I will never understand. I had to recheck in for my last couple of nights!

The rooms were very nice but I emptied the shower gel dispenser on day 1 and it still hadn't been filled up by day 4, my departure. There was enough shampoo and hand soap that I didn't go smelly, but for me these are the kind of details you expect a hotel to get right when you are paying in excess of 50 pounds a night. 

Correct hotel in the centrum of Frankfurt. As expected for a 4 star hotel in NH. Breakfast specialities from asia and other countries. Nice staff.

Tiny room to the backyard, somebody had the brilliant idea to mount scaffolding throughout the night.....

Good beds, fast and good service. Furniture upmarket and the breakfast is not going to be added necessarily. I didn't have any so I cannot comment on it. There are non-smoking rooms and apart from that nothing which would cause other hotels of this category to stand out. Neither free water nor the opportunity to make yourself a cup of tea. I always think this is a pity. You have to park in a public car park opposite and then it takes 3 minutes to the hotel. Advantage: only 4 € night tariff. Good bars and restaurants that cater for all tastes are in walking distance. All in all OK!

My favourite hotel in FFM - at least in this price range my company grants me ;-) I like the decor of the rooms (matter of taste); these are totally quiet direction hotel also because they have a small corridor area. If you like to sleep with open windows you should definitely book a room facing the courtyard. The breakfast buffet is truly superb in that category with diverse international varieties. Gym (small but OK) and spa in the cellar; superb massage offer for which members of the staff from the neighbouring Thai-massage come over.
