Parked for 3 weeks at Heathrow and cost £60. Took cheapest option so no meet and greet - thought it was excellent value at £20 per week. Site was a little difficult to find and not all that well signposted, ended up lost on an industrial estate at first. Transfer to airport was fine, only a small wait to get going. Had to wait 30 minutes for return transfer but it was 10.30pm on a Saturday and we were the next to last flight into terminal 3 so I expected a wait. Staff at depot and drivers were helpful and courteous, assisted with luggage etc. Overall pleased for what we paid and would use again for heathrow.
Perfect, good service. quick time to book and pay. good instructions on where to go and leave the car. I booked in advanced about 5 months and changed car. Phoned the company up and they changed it without hassle. The transfer was easy and the staff were helpful taking our bags...... overall opinion ..... would recommend...... :) and they were the cheapest.
The arrival at the car park was all smooth and all the security gates / cameras you have to go through is great.. However, was stood around in what felt like a wind tunnel for about 20 mins to wait for a bus even though 2 had turned up.... apparently I was going to the wrong term at Heathrow... Then it when from bad to worse... as when I arrived back at Heathrow term 3, called once got off the plane as per the ticket they provided when arrived the week before and that was fine.. when to the bus stop as advised and stood... and stood waiting.... and stood waiting.. the other people that were waiting with their 2 small children called the office as as by this time we had been waiting for about 20 mins to be told its on its way about 2 mins.. 10 mins passed still not bus.. called again its about 1 min away another 10 mins still nothing.... whilst spending all this time awaiting for the bus three business buses turned up and left EMPTY but not the normal class bus.. but they weren't allowed to take us as we had the wrong ticket didn't have business class...
Not great service, infact the worst car park have parked at yet... and I travel 4 times a year.
Only book through these if you have plenty of time to stand in the freezing cold at night when you have just come from a hot country to wait for the bus.
I was really impressed with Purple Parking from start to finish. I arrived at 3.30am to fly from LHR Terminal 5 and there was a friendly face to greet me when I arrived....nothing computerised which always makes a difference! I parked up and handed my keys over to the bus driver who immediately puts it into a locked "post-box". I was happy handing over my keys and felt my car would be safe within the secure compound. When I landed back into LHR 2 weeks later I simply called them up to advise I'd arrived and within an hour from landing I was on the road again!
Fantastic service and excellent value for money in comparison to other parking facilities in London. Will definitely use Purple Parking again!!
We used the Meet and Greet service at Birmingham Airport in early May 2013. All problem free - apart from the weather on our return - a short walk from the terminal to the waiting car in gales and lashing rain! The service was much more convenient than having to mess about with shuttle buses; we shall use it again.
Used the service for Birmingham Airport , service was up to the usual standard from parking to airport , driver very friendly helped us load the bags on , unfortunately a different story going from airport to parking , perhaps it was because it was late at night , but the driver was not up to the usual standard . But i would still recommend APH.
Used for booking Manchester Airport for 'Eazypark Meet and Greet' service. No real complaints for the price (£33.70 for 9 days). I was 25 mins late due to an accident on route to airport but was met within 5 mins of arriving at drop off point. Main niggle was on returning, I had been told to meet at same place as when leaving which meant having to haul my luggage across the terminal from Arrivals to Departures and up to a different floor which was a little annoying for a 'Meet and Greet' service (and which other meet and greet's do NOT make you do!). Also I was told to phone them when I was at the meeting place (again not standard for other Meet and Greet services I had previously used where I was always told to phone as soon as I'd collected my luggage). After hauling my luggage back to Deprtures I phoned Eazypark and I ended up having to wait for 17 minutes for them to arrive (previous company's I had used were waiting with my car right outside the Arrivals area with no delay). All in all an OK service - good value for money - but not what I would call a 'Meet and Greet' service on arrival back to the UK (unless the Meet and Greet means you have to go to meet them rather than them come and meet you!!). Will definitely use Purple Parking again - but probably not Eazypark!
Very impressed with Purple Parking. This is the second time we have used them and very good both times. The bus delivered us to the airport promptly and picked us up after a long fight and had us back at our car in very good time. Would recommend them and will certainly use them again!
I used this service recently and would definately use it agian. It was around £40 to park our car for a week (inlcuding pick up/ drop off of the car at the terminal) which I think is a fair price for the convenience. It takes some of the stress away from the travelling! We didn't have to wait at all, can't fault it at all.
Purple Parking was a very pleasant experience. When we got to the site they were very helpful, all we had to do was park the car, get our luggage out and get on the bus.
On the way back we decided to do Meet and Greet, I have to say the instructions on how to get to the car were brilliant, and when we got to where our car was they were so helpful and jolly. They even told us how to get to our next port of call.
Next time I have to travel abroad, I will definitely use Purple Parking again.
The system at East Midlands Air Port does not recognise any Purple Parking bookings so when you pull up at the barrier you have to call the attendant and wait to be allowed in. You then have to take a ticket and either repeat the experience on your return or wait in the queue at the parking ticket office.
All possible but time consuming and not part of the expected agreement
The usual good service. Registration on entry was smooth and we were on our way to airport within 10 minutes. Collection likewise worked like clockwork, a 10 minute wait for the pick up and delivered very close to my car. No complaints and would recommend them to friends.
I used the parking based at the Hilton Hotel Stansted. The outward journey was poor as we had to wait over an hour. This was caused by it being necessary to fill the bus with diesel before our pick up and there being problems at the filling station. Eventually an alternative bus was arranged but in all we had to wait over one hour to be taken to the airport. I made a verbal complaint at the time but no apology was made so I will not use this service again. The return trip was fine.
I have used Purple Parking on few occasions over the past few years. The last time was in April 2013. I appreciate that the drivers for this service have a boring job, but they are all part of the holiday experience and some the guys at Purple need a few lessons in how to deal with the public after all I think they forget that we are actually paying their wages and repeat busines is important, especially in the current financial climate. Going outbound was okay, but coming back at Heathrow we got to Bus stop and a Purple Parking van was there, but the driver was from from the Business service I did not even know existed and he was just plain rude in the way he handled mine and others enquiries, just grunting that our ticket was not valid, not polite in his explanation or even explaining the service he was providing afterall I travel for Business as well and I could be a potential customer. However it also made me laugh as the on the side of his Business van it said just 5 minutes from the Airport, he hung around for 12 minutes, so if it was 5 minutes away I calculate he could have dropped his passengers back and got back to the stop again in the time he waited, also another Business service also just drove straight through missing people waiting, who only found out their service was not the one we the non business service passengers were waiting for. It took almost an hour from the time we got to the bus stop to getting back to our car, there was hold up at the gate to get keys due to the queue at the gate and one of our passengers having an issue with their ticket or something. Very dis-appointing this time, not what I have experienced before and I'll seriously consider looking elsewhere.
I have used Purple Parking for 15yrs, due to travelling internationally in my job for a well known international engineering company. 14years and 11months I have never had an issue.
This last trip, last week, I returned, with a wallet full of Euro notes and a flat mobile battery. I then noticed Purple Parking has changed their customer telephone number from an 0800 (Free-Phone) to an 0845 chargeable. So without any UK coinage, a flat mobile battery and no way of ringing Purple Parking direct, I thought I have used them for over 14yrs and generally the buses run regularly every 20mins or so.
I stood there for nearly an hour before a mini-bus finally turned up. It was Purple Parkings sister company Purple Parking Business. I asked if he could contact the office and ask when next mini-bus would be along as I had been waiting around 45mins. He replied "Ring them yourself", not in an aggressive way, but totally disinterested "It's not my problem" way. I replied "But you are in radio contact with base", his retort was "It doesn't go through to the same office" and off he went.
So I had waited another 15mins before a fellow passenger turned up and I politely asked if I could borrow their phone to ring. I did, informed Customer Servies I was at the bus stop and had already been waiting an hour. I waited a further 20mins before the mini-bus arrived.
Needless to say not very impressed and has spoilt an otherwise unblemished record of efficiency and helpfulness. Of course it was my fault that my mobile phone battery had went flat, but I thought so what I will use a public phone to phone them................. which now is no longer possible.
This is the second time I have used Purple Parking Business for T5 but not sure I will use them again. The service works efficiently enough but for a short 2-3 day business trip the waiting time is too long. I arrived on Sunday afternoon with little time to spare, parked up, dropped my keys then had to sit in the minbus for 10 mins waiting for it to fill up, then it is a 15 min ride to the terminal. On returning, I called PP from immigration as requested, but still had to wait for 10 minutes for the bus, and then wait for another passenger, and the 10-15 min journey. At 21.00 you dont want these delays. To add salt to injury the driver on the return leg was unfriendly to the point of being rude.
