We used the drop off and chauffeur return service. It was very good and nice to have a warm car to get into on a chilly morning. The new automated phone service on return was very good. We are regular users of this service and will continue to do so.
Outbound: Foreign driver who's accent / language was very difficult to understand told us he couldn't take us to T3 but we should go to T4 and catch the train back to T3. This was at our cost of course. Minibus we were collected in sounded like it was missing a rear axle and was VERY noisy and bumpy. Driver continuously broke the speed limit. took 45+ minutes to get from car to terminal. Left minimal time at airport to check in etc. Had I actually been on time not early, we almost certainly would have missed the flight.
Inbound: Driver spent entire trip on mobile phone whilst driving (no handsfree), also speeding. On return to carpark, sweet wrappers left in car, all controls moved (mirror, seat, etc) so god knows where the car was taken in my absence.
Excellent service, we were met as soon as we pulled into the terminal. instructions were very clear. On arrival back into Gatwick we rang once we had our luggage by the time we had walked.to the meet point they were pulling in to meet us. Amazing service best I've used yet will definitely recommend and use again, definitely worth the few extra pounds from long stay parking!
professional service - all went exactly as advertised. My return home was delayed by 28 hours. There was only a 10 pound fee for the extra night - I think that was fair, and my car was delivered without any waiting at all.
We parked at terminal 5 with meet and greet. It was an excellent service 5 mins walk to check in. which with 2 babies was brill especially on the returne when we arrived at 7am. Thanks for a great service.
When I arrived the computer system was down and the booth operative had to complete my transaction by hand. This did cause me a delay as there were people waiting for me at the airport. BUT on the plus side the operative was polite, apologetic and I am sure completed the paperwork as quickly as he could in the circumstances and luckily there was a van waiting which then left immediately. On the return I was also lucky a van was waiting and handed the driver my ticket but on arrival at the base when he handed out the keys, mine were not among them. He said he had been unable to 'scan' my ticket and said that I should go to the booth which I did and had to go through all my details again. Once again the booth operative was extremely polite and apologetic and I am assuming the problem was caused by the computer system being down when I first arrived. As mentioned, these problems did cause me some delays but the problems appeared to be IT glitches and overall I was very satisfied with the convenience of the service provided.
I will never use Purple parking agains, it took 50 minutes from the moment I called them to collect me to take me back to my car and then when I got there I found there was a problem with the steering that wasn't there when I took it in. I paid for the car to be cleaned inside and out, which they did do a good job on, but i can only assume that whilst moving the car they have caused some sort of damage to it, my car is now booked in to a garage for repair and upon calling Purple parking to inform them of the problem, they told me they 'don't accept responsibility for mechanical issues with cars'. Unfortunately, if you damage a car in your care, you don't get to choose whether you are going to take responsibility or not and I will be perusing this through the small claims court if necessary. Terrible Service.
Easy to book online. Had to change car reg prior to parking, easily done on phone. Parking site quite involved to find and long transter to airport. However this was Heathrow and we usually travel from Gatwick, always so much more straightforward. Agree with previous comment that return phone number should be geographical (free to most users) not a charge number. But all in all an efficent service, good price and does what is required.
Purple Parking is cheaper than most but is a long way from the terminals so allow plenty of time. The check-in service is efficient and the parking seems very secure. However, some of their drivers need training in inter-personnel skills as they can be miserable, grumpy and totally disinterested when greeting you and loading your luggage.
Once again we used Purple parking whilst taking our flight from Heathrow. The whole process now is extremely efficient with minimal paperwork and speedy transit both in and out and very limited waiting. We will continue to use this service which provides good value for money.
This is the second time we have used Purple Parking at Heathrow Airport (Terminals three and five). Geographically, this is a very convenient car park for us to use, as we have a couple of alternative routes in for when the M25/M4 is blocked. Price and service cannot be faulted. I will continue to use them in the future.
Good, fast and reliable service from drop off and to pick up, oh and very friendly too! We phoned for pick up after we picked up the cases and headed to the exit, the bus turned up to collect us the moment we reached the pick up point, which was all of a 3 minute walk.
I would definitely use these guys again without hesitation!
