A great pub owned by Robinsons
brewery with at least six cask beers on the bar always in good condition
.The pub has three diferent entrances on three diferent streets and is always busy when we visit.

This is a very historic pub and it's the oldest pub in Preston. The pub is quite small and is split into small sections giving it a warm atmosphere but at the same time it get's quite busy.
The pub sells mainly Robinson's real ales including the infamous Old Tom usually severd in 1/2 pints!
A new landlord has recently taken over who is welcoming and seems to be doing a good job in running the pub-there is an upstairs bar open sometimes on Friday's/Saturdays with a DJ so we go there for a change from time to time.
There is no room for pool table etc, the pub doesn't serve food and there's no beer garden but it is a good City Centre pub and a poopular calling point on a real ale pub crawl or for a when in town for a few afternoon pints.

Beautiful old looking curved bar, it's like stepping back in time to the early 20th century. Good service, and they used to have some great nights on upstairs. It's often busy and has a great atmosphere.

Good old fashioned ale house. Friendly staff, good selection of ales.
Centrally located and big enough to take a Friday/ Saturday crowd. Football orientated.

Our favourite Preston town centre pub with a great selection of beers. Good landlord and staff makes it a nice atmosphere. All original inside. Highly recommended.

A proper little old-fashioned locals pub, it's the only pub in Preston, Lancs to feature in the Good Pub Guide 2009 & 2010 and I can fully understand why.
It is a proper real ale pub and the range of alcohol is amazing. The pub doesn't do pub food but there's a wide range of snacks available. The pub is well run and the bar staff are very friendly.
If you want a nice beer in the city centre, this is one pub definately worth visiting!
