REPRISAL***
Gave them another chance a few months ago and we were very pleased. To be honest I stayed away from the fish because I just dont think thats their strong point. We really enjoyed the petek special and the vegetarian fiesta – and since giving them another chance we have eaten there a fair few times always ordering their solid specials. Maybe we just caught them on a bad night last time – which I’m very glad about as its a lovely local place to eat, run by genuine people, and is very good value considering we are usually so full we find it hard to walk up the hill home!

Ooooooh I wish I didnt have to write this review! We had eaten in peteks a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately tonight was a massive let down! Poor quality fish which was overcooked and wet, salad with at least 2 suspicious hairs entwined within the leaves, inedible spongy potatoes and rather inattentive service resulted in a disappointing evening. When they finally got around to clearing our plates and asking what was wrong they took the fish meal off the bill but we didnt receive any of the usual complimentary bakalavas at the end of our meal and nobody acknowledged our departure. Pretty sour end to the meal. If we hadnt had such a great time before we wouldnt even think about returning.
Great restaurant, very friendly staff who go out ovaluef their way to make you feel comfortable.
Food has never disappointed, my only criticism is the huge portions which I suppose makes it even better value for money.
This unassuming restaurant has become a favourite of mine. The food is not strictly turkish - they do amazing Monk Fish kebabs, chicken...the works. The owner and cooks are great guys, the wine is fantastic and the prices reasonable. Even the non alcoholic cocktails are amazing. I cannot recommend it enough.
