I have my Family booked in here because it was just round the corner from my house and the sign said they did business meetings and weddings etc... so it should be OK, right? WRONG!

As soon as we entered (late in the evening, unfortunately) it struck me that this place had seen better days. Part of it is just pure bad taste. Also, the host was smoking and there seemed to be no option to have a no-smoking room.

The "ensuite" consisted of a cabin which seemed as if it had been once part of a caravan. The windows were the original sash windows, very draughty.

The bedding was clean and the TV and kettle worked, which was OK I guess. And there was an OK-looking fire escape route. The one member of staff we met was very pleasant.

Sadly though it seemed to be workmen living here during the week, a proper doss house. The breakfast was basic and careless.

The cost of £59 was low for the London area but the next day my Family changed to the Holiday Inn just down the road!!
