10 reviews of 4 Market Place Cafe in English
Nestled in one corner of the amazing Market Place is a great basement cafe with an incredibly friendly Polish owner. I had a lovely full-english breakfast with fresh juice and a coffee afterwards (which was the only slightly disappointing bit, but i am a bit of a coffee snob!)
The map on Qype for this place is wrong - the cafe is on the corner of Market Place and Gt Titchfield St.

Tucked under bagelmania on the corner of great titchfield street, 4 Market place is a real hidden gem. Salads, sandwiches and baked potatoes are the speciality… And they do them bloody well. I recommend the chilli jacket. Awesome!
I’ve really enjoyed the times I’ve come in here for lunch. It is always busy and it is always hassled but we still manage to get a well-cooked, wholesome meal for less tha a tenner which is refreshing in Soho/Fitzrovia.
Breakfast or lunch, this is a gem of a place in the heart of the city that won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
I left my wallet here recently with all my worldly possessions in it, after probably getting too excited about my freshly cooked bacon and egg sandwich on white with brown sauce. When I returned some hours later, said wallet was tucked under the counter waiting for me, so that is enough for 5 stars in my book.
If you’re more careful than me with personal objects, then you can still enjoy a delicious breakfast, that’s great value and served with a smile.
This is an excellent place to come for lunch. I came across it by accident thinking it was Bagelmania. They have a pretty elaborate menu for a very reasonable price. Staff seem friendly and the service was exceptional. I had one of their burgers which excellent value for money. Will definately be back.
4 Market place cafe = cheap hangover remedy. In trying to stay on the thinner side of the artery clog I went for a panini which was cheap but basically because it seemed to mean half the filling. It’s a little basement-like canteen affair which fills up fast during lunchtimes. As mentioned before they do all-day breakfasts which is a bonus and one I’ve mentally book-marked to get me through a post-drinking work day. Their bacon and egg sandwich sounds like the winner - I’ll let you know once I’ve tried it out!
Hit and miss. That’s my summary. The staff seemed too busy- in fact one almost tripped into a customer with a plate of pasta- it could have been one of those movie moments… but alas no!
The sandwiches seemed to skimp on their fillings and it was all a bit strange… until… the table next to me go the biggest Big Breakfast I have ever seen. That’s when I saw the brilliance of this establishment. They do incredible traditional breakfast all day. So if you’re headed this way go there for the right reasons and you wont be disappointed.

My favourite spot to pick up a bacon and egg butty on a Friday morning if I’m feeling a bit worse for wear. The guys behind the counter have always got a smile ready and their coffee is not too shabby either.
Excellent value for money, great food, friendly service, great location. We love coming here especially for the “club” (sandwich) and great veggie soups.
Great food with that mediterranean touch,
excellent and quick service, its a pleasure to have breakfast or lunch there. Will become my regular place to eat.
