Glengarry Castle Hotel

Accidentally I also spent my honeymoon in this awesome castle...hm..strange;o) I enjoyed every second of our stopover, would love to come back as soon as possible. Especially the meals and the cosy library impressed me. Every day we came in from trips, a welcoming open fire burnt in nearly every room. At 18:00h the service rang a bell: DINNER-TIME! Very cool and oldschool. From our four-poster bedroom we had a the best panorama of the loch ever.
I really miss it, why can't i marry again?!;o)

Last year we stayed during our honeymoon at the „Glengarry Castle Hotel”. The hotel is situated within an old manor house or castle - whatever you like to call it. The castle is close to Loch Ness but also lies directly at its own loch. Therefore, the location is perfect for scenic walks or drives around the Highlands. Even the grounds of the hotel bear some walk ways. Overall, the hotel seems to be a little bit old fashioned but the rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy. Everything you expect from a Scotish castle - even a library where you can have cofe whisky afte dinner. Breakfast and dinner are excellent! Its hard to believe that meals in Scotland can be that good ;-) The service and the receptionists are very friendly and helpful. We will be back and looking forward to it!
