I must endorse the fact that this is great value for money - you dont get much for free these days! This is a passenger, car and lorry ferry which crosses the river and gives great views upstream of canary wharf and the thames barrier. There are a few things to note - firstly the queues on either side can sometimes be prohibitive - so this is one to do off peak and when there are no problems with the Blackwall Tunnel. Don’t expect any luxuries for foot passengers - and if you are planning on taking photos get your camera ready as it is over in a few minutes!
this must be the best value in town - as the name implies, it's free! take the dlr to george v and spend a day on the river....
