I dealt with a young lady named Margaret who visited me in my shop, she was very helpful and advised me i could be saving around £40-50 a month so after carefully reading the contract and asking all the important questions about cost and price, I was happy to go forward with the new service. I've had it for over a month and had no problems and as promised, I have saved £42 this month!

No issues for me.. I use their online gateway for my website selling urban clothing and it plugged in one time to my magento site and works a treat!

I've just signed with the company and must say i was delighted with the service i received and way I was treated. The contract is a long, complicated document but lucky, the seller Mark was excellent in talking it through with me and i was made aware of cancellation charges etc.

Ultimately, i am happy because the rates are cheaper than my current provider and taking plastic has helped my business. Looking at the last few reviews, I would only suggest being sure that taking their service is worthwhile as it will become a on-going cost and needs to be financially viable.

I wouldn't recommend Paymentsense under any circumstances. They sent me the wrong equipment at the start of my contract then, when swapping it over for the correct one 12 months later, extended my contract for an extra 12 months for the priviledge when it was their error is the first place! Having raised a formal complaint with them, we have experienced the most shocking customer service, staff are uninterested, rude and not aware of their obligations under the consumer credit act - which doesn't give you much comfort. The complaint handler who I spoke to this afternoon couldn't give me a copy of their complaints procedures - he didn't even know if they had any! Overall, a very unprofessional company. Their rates are cheap however there are other providers out there with similar rates, better customer service and have 12 month contracts, not 5 year contracts!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. A couple of years ago a nice elderly gentleman walked into my shop and convinced me i would be better of changing my credit card machine provider to paymentsense as this would save me money. To save me time he said he would come back with the completed forms a couple of days later. Easy as that. So, upon his advice i changed over. What i did not realise was that should i ever wish to cancel my machine/ account that it would cost me over £400. I have downsized my company and no longer feel a machine is viable. so phoned them to ask about cancelling, only to be told that it will cost me £190 plus vat to cancel the card machine as apparently i am in a 60 month contract, and it will cost me £200 to cancel the account with the provider. I am now going to check the small print on my contract as at no point was any of this pointed out to me. As the rental is about £28 per month, and the minimum charges on the account are £19.99 I am now faced with 33 months of £48, or i pay the £430 odd pounds and cut my losses. I feel most aggrieved, as I was perfectly happy with my old provider. To make matters worse, the old guy had said to me should i incur any charges from my old provider, that paymentsense would reimburse me. I sent copies of my old statement to show them the penalty i incurred and, guess what, I never got the money back. I will try to fight this as i cannot afford to pay what they want. I would never have knowingly signed up for anything for 60 months.

I was looking for a provider to take card payments on my website and decided to go with paymentsense as its alot cheaper than the alternatives and ive been happy with the service. My developer told me it was simple to plug into the website and i am already seeing the increase in sales.

It isn't possible for me to give a review with few enough stars.

In short, going with Payment Sense for my online credit card payments has been the very worst thing I have ever done in my business life.

I feel like I have been seriously misled by the salesman - actually I think it fair to say i feel scammed.

Payment Sense are in league with First Data who actually own the virtual terminal.  This wouldn't be a problem if the terminal actually worked.  Too many customers have had nothing but problems in trying to make payments to my company.  I've ended up invoicing these customers through Paypal instead so they can make online payment.

Getting anyone to answer the 'phone at Payment Sense / First Data is almost impossible. When I did get through, the person I spoke to was obstructive and unhelpful.

All emails have gone unanswered.

I was told that I could quit the contract at anytime without obligation - now that I have tried to quit the contract, I am now being told I cannot do so without giving three months notice and that my company has to pay for this three months.

Funny how they are able to communicate when it comes to demanding more money from me.

Avoid this company. Really. If you are considering it, you might want to google for reviews of First Data beofre you sign on that dotted line.

I feel scammed and that I am now being milked for more money and I am seriously unhappy about it.

Paymentsense was recommended by a friend after I told him how much problems I was having with HSBC. The setup was simple and we had the machines up and running in less than a week. After 3 months I can say that they have been perfect! quick and efficient. My only critisism is the fact that for wireless each terminal requires a separate box and power supply! I have 3 so this can be problematic especially as they must be located together. All in all though a perfect product.

I can't believe we went so long without a card machine. Paymentsence have changed the face of our business! No more customers walking out because we can't cater for them. 

This is a "no brainer". If you're not taking cards, you should be!

I’m pretty new to forum posting. But I love sharing my experiences.

We operate a small florist outside Leeds and Payment sense helped us get up and running with their card facilities as quickly as they said they would. So all in all we’ve had great interaction with the company. 

Hoping to get our new website up and running soon, which we’ll be using Payment sense for too.

Be very careful the salesman will lie to you.  As I was conned well and truly by him, he gave me excellent rates to change from Elavon to Paymentsense, but failed to explain many extra charges levied by paymentsense that were free from Elavon.

I was stupid enough to trust the salesman by signing the paperwork, without it being fully completed, the story goes it is easier for him to complete it at home where it is quiet. What a laugh he them stitches you up good and proper!  

I was also told me it was a 24 month contract and then it was changed to a 60 month contract!

Also don't be fooled into thinking the customer support will help correct the errors, they will hold you to the contract.

Keep well away from them!!!!

Tried to send this to Elya123 but it wouldn't send.  
They've done the same to me - I thought I was signing up with Payment Sense and have now found out that FDSM and FDGL between them want to charge me over £600 to get out of their contracts (which I knew nothing about).  I't a real scam - I've made an official complaint and taken it up with the Financial Ombudsman.  I was very clear to the salesman that I only needed the terminal for 12 months, but agreed to take it for 18 months. He only ever mentioned that I'd have to pay the full 18 months rental, which I decided to accept.   60 months and the other 2 contracts were never mentioned. I've been dealing with this today and feel as if I've been mugged!

We were screwed over by our bank just when we were about the open our shop! we signed up with payment sense because they were cheaper and could get our terminals in 2 days. We have had no issues and customer services has been really good to speed up the application and answered all our questions. the terminal is really fast and we have had no problems with the setup.
