Navajo Joe is the best place in Covent Garden to have a well mixed cocktail, or a rare cognac. To say the bar is well stocked would be an understatement; many a fine and rare spirit will be found on the shelves of this bar. The staff is friendly and professional and the food is very good. The price may be somewhat high, but it is worth it once you sip one of the cocktails.

Don’t listen to the really bad reviews - they obviously just had a bad night. This place is actually really good for food and just for a quick drink.
I’ve been a couple of times now for food and a few more times just for drinks. Last time I ordered off a set menu which was great and the fajitas were fantastic! Otherwise, it is a little overpriced. Service can be a little slow as it’s a busy place on a weekend but the staff are still friendly and eager to please.
Service - 6/10
Food - 8/10
Atmosphere - 9/10

Oh no, it’s both really expensive and really gross. What a horrible place to waste your money. There are plenty of great places to eat in Covent Garden and plenty of tourist traps for people who don’t know how much a pound sterling is worth. This restaurant definitely falls into the latter category. The food was poor. We had a plate to tacos with guacamole, chilli and salsa. I could have produced a superior dish using a packet of doritos, some stringy cheese and an off avocado in a microwave. Next time, I will go to Paul, which is a few doors away for some genuinely tasty food at a price that wasn’t dreamt up by an accountant.

I’ve been to Navajo Joe a couple of times, and it’s nothing special really. One of the other reviewers said, there’s something a bit too glossy about it it; I agree. Let’s just say it wouldn’t be out of place in the new Westfield shopping centre. The menu’s okay: the usual Tex Mex fayre. It’s all pretty pricey for what you get. We used got 2for1 meals with a Taste London card, and I still felt a bit ripped off. I personally like things a bit more homely and authentic, but others might enjoy it if price isn’t really a factor.

We had a great time here on Saturday night!!
I remember when we visited here a few years ago a big list of Tequila’s which now seems to have gone :( but we made up for it with lots of Margarita’s!!
The cocktails are on the more expensive side but they are good. We managed to get some seats in the bar downstairs and it was quite atmospheric with the low lights and candles. Was still quite touristy though.
But for us, this place was absolutely fine. Location was great, cocktails were gorgeous and it was a neat little bar to catch up with my friends in!

There’s been agreed that this venue attracts its customers mostly by its decor and its impressive cocktail list. These are the highlighting elements alongside with its great location -a place always buzzing with life. An angel shaped logo will guide your way inside a Native American Indian themed interior.
Once inside you are captured almost for certain by an extremely well-appointed and illuminous bar, and by the warmth and intimacy of candlelights. Somehow they managed to fit even Che Guevara into the details …
Haven’t tried the food menu, so don’t want to make any presumptions about it. But if you are there for drinks do not leave out the cocktails! Not the cheapest, but won’t be a disappointment -if you add also the juggling moves of skilled bartenders …
A bit too buttery for my taste, but service is nice.
On Fridays and Saturdays the downstairs holds the place for parties.

There’s nothing wrong with Navajo Joe’s, but there are thousands of other places like it. Vaguely Tex-Mex food, a big drinks menu with plenty of pricey cocktails, and some faux-Americana decor. Dining and drinking upstairs, a bar downstairs. Good location, but there’s something just a bit too glossy and cynical about it for me.

Location and decor make this place a good bar to stop at for drinks if you’re in town, but make sure you visit the cashpoint first. Call me cheap, but I still have issues paying £6 for a spirit and mixer if there’s nobody to fan me and peel me grapes while I’m drinking it.
With that in mind, unless you fancy bottled beer or cheap wine, you may as well sample the cocktail menu, as it’s definitely what they do best and no pricier than the rest of the drinks. There’s a mini happy hour with a few classics on offer, as well. I tried the Caipirinha, which was good for a tourist trap, but not as good as I’ve had elsewhere (there’s ‘I like lots of ice’ and there’s ‘where the hell is my drink?’).
Food wise, we only sampled the bar snacks. My advice would be to avoid the sharer menu where you pick three or five dishes - portions are tiny - and go for the cheap snacks instead. Just beware of the difference between ‘chips’ and ‘fries’.

As ‘Grover’ stated this is a tourist aimed place during most days. However by Friday night Covent Garden is so full that any place is packed. At this time Navajo Joe is full to the seams so it’s really not that much different to any other place.
True the cocktails are good and are fairly priced compared to other places. However the food menu is over-priced and the what with the noise from the open plan bar area it’s not going to be a place to take a date.
So, to conclude, this is a ‘warm-up’ venue for a deeper trip into Covent Garden. Don’t be put off though during the week checking out the place when it is quieter and sampling the menu. The fajhita towers are pretty nice, although expensive!
