Chapter Two Restaurant

My first lunch time experience at Chapters and apart from having to book (and it was full up) the upstairs lunch experience is as good as an evening meal there. The service was superb and the waitress friendly and attentive .. when required. The food was a delight to the palate, the combinations might give you a double take but the flavours work so well together, so do not be afraid to give different dishes a try. I love the Treacle Tart and cream for dessert.
All in all a lunch time dining experience to recommend and to go back to.

Add excellent to this experience and that is an evening at Chapter 2. Smallish portions, but so tasty you don’t need more and that allows for one to have a 3 course meal, drinks and coffee and not groan when wanting to leave.

Very nice for a treat. The food is top quality and the service excellent. they do a three course special. For a special occassion this place come highly recommended, you really feel like you’ve eaten well and been well looked after. The wine list is excellent and the waiter is very good at helping you choose wines that go best with what you are having to eat. The food is very rich and you do feel very full at the end, but it’s a nice feeling. They have another branch called chapter one in locksbottom, kent.

An elegant restaurant. The service is what you would expect of a fine restaurant, attentive but unobtrusive. A wonderful place for lunch and even better for dinner. The sort of restaurant that you are happy the portions aren’t too big, that way you get to indulge in all of the courses. They do a Daily Telegraph offer quite often. This is for a set price lunch menu and is extremely good value. A lovely restaurant for a special occasion. A must place to go.

last time i went i was extremely impressed- definately worthy of the rating. not too bad for prices, considering its blackheath. they have just gone through a refit, so i’ll have to check it out again. food- excellent drink- excellent- staff- always happy to help!

Chapter 2
A little gem tucked away in Blackheath village – the rather unassuming exterior gives way to a glorious retreat and great dining experience. The décor is modern, but not overdone, and with several nice touches – when it gets dark outside, they put candles on the tables. The staff are refreshingly friendly (let us choose where we wanted to sit, even though it was not empty), and service is surprisingly quick. They serve food from mid-morning to late evening, so you can go in at any time, and there’s not that embarrassing pause between lunch and dinner that most restaurants experience.
A little note – advanced booking is probably advisable.
