It's so friendly, staff and patrons, it 's the sort of place you could be very comfortable, even if you 're on your own.
Friday is Karaoke night and depending on crowd can be great fun,all are welcomed and clapped for their effort.
The Sunday roasts are beautiful, and nothing is too much trouble, well worth a break from the cooking and washing up!
I highly recommend you give this place a visit, and I'm sure you 'll be hooked, and become a regular!

Really really impressed with the Sunday Lunches here. Would definatel say this is the best roast we've had in Stokey... and we've had a few. Great homemade roasts with superb meat (none of that cheap pre-prepared rubbish) home made yorkshires and individual jugs of gravy. Went here with a group of friends some of whom are veggie and one who is vegan. Usually we have a real problem finding something for us all to enjoy, but in this little bar we were treated to a great choice of home made veggie and vegan mains as well as lovely meat choices (wholly recommend the steak and ale pie). The menu changes weekly ad I hear the same chefs do stonking BBQ in the garden during summer. Can't wait! Well done blush. Look forward to visiting again

Fabulous little local residing in the heart of Lesbian-ville, Stoke Newington.
Its small ground floor bar betrays the extent of the sizable basement area, which includes a pool table and access to a fair size (concrete) beer garden.
It's not really the kind of place you'd go for a boogie, but it's perfect for a drink with your friends or other half any day of the week; and it's especially worth a visit on a Wednesday for their great Pub Quiz.
They do Sunday Roasts (not tried one yet, so I can't comment on that) and the walls have changing art on display, often from local lesbian artists.
The staff are always really friendly and you can even pick up your local listing magazines from there whilst you grab your pint.
