Menu is large and full of the usual tex-mex fare. We were not really hungry so decided on tapas and some beers and virgin cocktails.
The food was ordered and came fairly quickly, it was ok, but was very much the frozen ready made varity bit of a let down for the price. The waiter also seemed annoyed we didn't order mains, the place wasn't heaving at the rafters so I don't really understand his attitude. The food was ok, homr-made claimed sauce didn't really taste home made, but BBQ bottled style. It was just ok.
We ordered waffles for afters.... again ready made, ice cream had ice crystals in it and squirty cream :(
The only reason I'm giving this place a two is their choice of cocktails, the food is ok, but over priced and I feel their are better ready made type tex-mex palces oyt there that do put a bit more effort into the bits that aren't ready made. The reason it loses out so much apart from the food being so-so, is two people in our party had dodgy stomches after eating here, nothing too bad but still.
Wouldn't come back.

I’ve walked past this place a few times and always wanted to go in and it was great for a Friday lunch.
The staff were friendly and let us each wear a sombrero. The food was yummy – Tex-Mex, but really filling. If you’re expecting authentic Mexican food and fine dining this isn’t the place – but it’s fun and perfect for a casual occasion.
The decor is bright, loud and tacky, but it fits in with the vibe of the restaurant…though I did have a Bellini with brandy in – a little unusual, but it made me drink it that touch slower.
I think this may become one of our regular Friday haunts as it doesn’t break the bank and also you can do it in your lunch break.

Went here quite late on saturday night very hungry!! Had chicken enchladas and it was absolutely superb. We all wore hats (supplied by the resturant) and had a real laugh. I highly reccomend this place, its a great fun atmosphere and fantastic, delicious food.

I have given this place 4 fair tries ( bad on me should of given up after two i know!)
Biggest problem - Service!
All four trips our orders were messed up. Service is extremely slow and staff seem to not like their job so avoid you unless you force their attention. There is a very strange manager that wheres what he thinks is authentic Mexican clothes (looks like a dirty blanket with a big hat) when telling him about the problems we were having he literally just smiled at us with a strange big smile then walked away! Bizarre!
Atmosphere -
Not Mexican! think Disney world on a really small budget. It is a dirty little restaurant. Worst part is they play what they think is "Mexican music" at a volume so high you could not possibly hold a conversation with the person sitting next to you.
Food -
Not even remotely authentic, this restaurant is owned by the same people that own a Turkish restaurant around the corner. Food is average at best for taste, but not even remotely authentic and this is me being polite!
In summary terrible little place where you are made to feel unwelcome and served mediocre food avoid like the plague!

We visited with a big group. Service was ok, but if you choose this restaurant, please skip the steaks. Medium was raw and well done was medium. And it was like chewing gum for all (not just one steak). One of you elderly group members couldn't eat the steak because of his false teeth. One of our memebers nearly choke to a steak piece she had been trying to chew for a really long time. Not a very pleasant evening.

My boyfriend and me just found the restaurant by accident last night and were really excited to taste some nice Mexican food. Unfortunately it’s been the most disappointing dinner we have had in a long time. The restaurant is small and easy, the table cloth has nothing to do with Mexico and it rather reminds me on an old school canteen back in the days. We were "greeted" by the waiter who obviously wasn’t in the mood for work that day. We were directed to a table and I was sitting on the broken bench, really uncomfortable. A moment later another waiter came to ask if we were ready to order. Showing such a disrespectful attitude, I couldn’t help myself to give her some indirect piece of my mind. She went back to the bar and spoke to her colleague in their own language.. Polish is suppose. As I am working long time in the customer service industry myself, that’s just nasty and unacceptable. Anyway, we orderd the food which came in less than 8 minutes... really fresh, right! I had to kind of grab it myself over the table as the waiter was not bothered to come around to serve us on our table. Maybe we choose the wrong items but my boyfriend being a born Mexican was far away of being impressed by the food. The presentation was buffet style and the taste... well; I rather keep it for my self. When it finally came to an end, the well motivated waiter from the beginning brought me the bill. With absolutely no eye contact she kind of flung the PDQ machine towards my direction.
At the end I couldn’t help myself and used the rest rooms. Absolutely disgusting! Dirty, toilet paper everywhere, toilet seat off and the bowl looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time.
Everyone who wants to experience Mexican food with a Latin flair, DO NOT ENTER LOCO MEXICANO!! The money I have spent their could have easily flushed down a toilet... horrible service and lousy food

Just wondering, how is it nasty and unacceptable for two people to speak in their own language?
Dont expect any big thrills from this place, BUT if you want some fun, cheap food and a list of cocktails as long as your list of ex girlfriends then this is the place to go!!!
Friendly staff, quick service and a LOAD of sombreros!!!

Not exactly haute cuisine, and not cheap, this is a classic mexican place full of cheery staff (most of the time), alcohol, sombreros, and good, hearty mexican food.
My favourites are the quesadillas, and would heartily recommend any of the cocktails or fruit juice mixes they make. Very yummy, especially for the summer.
Oh, if you order tortilla chips, be warned that they occasionally forget the chicken, and do bathe everything in very generous dollops of guacamole and sour cream (which I both dislike...)

Mexican food for the masses. Nothing special, grub isn’t that great but it serves a need if you want a bit of stodge. Pretty cheap and it has a party atmosphere so is good for bigger groups. Music was “authentic” I think but it was also pretty appalling.

Ok for big gatherings. Staff are very friendly and entertaining. Food all tastes a bit samey though

I was so excited when this Mexican restaurant opened. The staff here are very friendly and have a great sense of humor (they often stand outside wearing sombreros and ponchos).
The food here is amazing. It’s more like Mexican-American but there is quite a range of choice on the menu. Best of all are the cocktails - there have to be over 50! It’s a great place for a night out.

This is a rather cute little Mexican restaurant opposite the Sainsbury's 'Market' on Wilton Road in Victoria.
It's a bit cheesy in terms of the decor - there are lots of large sombreros and blow-up bottles of lager, with some slightly naff wild west murals to boot, and the staff wear ponchos and straw stetsons. If you can get over that then you'll be pleasantly surprised - lots of authentic, filling mexican food and its quite cheap - we had a two course meal for two with drinks for less than £30.
If you're in the mood for a celebration then this is a good idea for a venue too - there are even more drinks choices than there are meals, including a page's worth of cocktails and there are margheritas and sangrias by the jug :)
Recommended - oh, and there's a website - http://www.locomexicano.org/
