A full on Eastern European dining experience! Slovenian MTV on, which entails music videos of people cutting trees down and toasting with huge beers! All of the food is intensely meat based, and as the previous reviewer mentions, the Papa Joe special is a dish the likes of which I have never seen before or again. They even turn all the lights off in the place everytime they bring one out!

You don’t get this in Courchevel 1850….

In Kranjska Gora for a few days? Get yourself to Papa Joe's!

What appears to be a quiet, atmospheric restaurant can suddenly turn into a full on disco with plenty of Slovenian dance tunes!

Even if you're not dancing the food is still worth checking out, especially the 'Papa Joe' itself, a unique combination of various meats on a custom made spiked ball that dangles over the veg and chips which is then doused in something flammable and ignited - fantastic!
