Do you happen to know what they are like on Saturdays? I'm desperately looking for a place to have drinks with a small group of six friends this Saturday, but I'd also like for the place to have good music and, possibly a dance floor so that I can get my groove on when I'm drunk.

Best and least pretentious bar in shoreditch. Friendliness inversely proportional to size and plumbing functionality (yes, repeat after several verditas or nuclear daiquiris). Great cocktails, reasably priced, recommended any time of night. Only downside? They never put up the Colombian flag!

I LOVE Casita. It's possibly one of the coolest bars ever. Given that it's in Shoreditch, that's definitely saying something. The bartender's really friendly and patient, and, when it's not packed, it's a great place to sit and catch up with (a few) friends.
This place is tiny though. It feels like only eight people can sit comfortably before we all start to get in each others' ways.
My favourite drink here has got to be their tequila con verdita shots. They're so good, they'll probably be the last thing you remember that night.
My little tip? If you're sitting facing the wall, take a look at the drawings on your right. You'll find a cute little character drawn by street artist Bortusk Leer.

I didn't think I'd give a cocktail bar in Shoreditch five stars. Or any bar for that matter. Me and the area just don't get on very well. We have brief flirtations, and for one night we're utterly giddy about each other, but that wears off after a few hours and I realise I'm bored and itching to go home.
This happens every couple of months.
But Casita, Castia is different. Casita is worth the trip to Shoreditch, and Castia and I are going to be spending much more time together. It's tiny, and not full of Hoxtonites, you see. It's full of friendly people who want you to drink their shots and dance about. It's busy, but fun. There's silliness, bar staff who know how to mix a drink and verdita. Oh my goodness the verdita. That stuff makes tequila slammers actually tasty. And that way trouble lies.
Casita and I are going to get on just fine, he'll get me into trouble, and I'll stay out too late, but I can't imagine wanting to leave. It's so much more enticing than the rest of Shoreditch.
Casita is a great place to hang out with friends, or to have incredible parties. We hired out the place and rammed it full of South Americans and a Mariachi Band on a dreadful winter night, and as it poured down outside, the fun, warmth and incredible latin spirit flowed inside. Alas we ran the bar dry but despite that fact an awesome time was had by all.
Tucked away in a back street behind the Hoxton Hotel on Great Eastern Street, you could quite easily miss this place, opposite the Griffin, and despite better known neighbours they seem to keep on keeping on, and thank god they do!
The bar might be small, but the owner is super friendly. Check out Casita, next time you are in Shoreditch!

I can't believe I'm the first person to review this tiny Latin American bar on dinky little Ravey Street. It's a fun spot to drink - always interesting characters and brilliant cocktails! Best margaritas in London? Hmmmm?
When ya go, order a round of tequila y veriditas for you and your crew (it's a good place to visit with a "crew"). You won't be disappointed (well except for the fact that most bars in London are nowhere near as cool as this one).
