THe pub has morphed over the years and is currently The Inn on The Green, not quite sure what green that is,as a concrete frenzy seems to have happened around it.
Well this pub is pretty average, but the food is wlll below par and its all pretty food nothing to get your belly busting.
Tried the roast dinner and was very dissappointed with both the quality {very pretty but not alot of it}
Ah Well you live and learn good thing therea a chip shop nearby to quell your hunger pangs after eating in this pub.
Nice selection of beer but frankly will not be going back again

Great selection of real ales, and some hard to find beers on tap. Somewhat pricey, but given the selection available I think its justified. Soft drinks could be cheaper though. Not tried the food but I hear a lot of good things. They no longer have the pool tables, but it has been done up and has booths toward the back. Nice quiet beer garden and solid pub quiz on Sundays at 8pm.

Great pub, even better food. Don't be put off by the bland exterior, the inside is cosy and welcoming. Try the burger and the best chips in the South West

This was voted best pub in Bristol in 2006 and a worthy winner it was too. A good size pub with car park and a good sized garden. It does lack some of the charm of the Wellington which is five minutes down the road, but it more then makes up for it in choice. Everytime I've been here and there's too many to mention, they've had atleast 16 real ales, ciders and if memory serves me correctly 'perry' on tap. It really does have one if not the best selection of beers in Bristol (the commercial rooms on park street is probably the only one that comes close).
As well as good beer there's enough here to keep most people happy. It has three pool tables a fruit machine and a quiz machine amongst other forms of entertainment eg quiz night.
I really like this pub, my wife on the otherhand, can't stand it. She's not a beer drinker which doesn't really help, she refuses to come here any more. for that reason I give this pub four stars, If my wife changes her mind about this place then it would just scrape a 5 star rating.
Yes I am under the thumb - happy drinking!
