Saw my friend at the weekend who'd just been to a singles night there & she raved about it! (in between looking a bit hungover and tired)
Sorry, this place is no longer open for business, but we've saved the reviews for posterity.

The vibe is fun, when I was there is was a mix of supperclub veterans and virgins, so that was fun. Everyone wore something red (it was Chinese New Year after all) and we were still drink wine with our hosts at 2am. We had a great night, we felt like we should have paid more (so we did) and we'll be back. It's a great set-up, run by friendly people in a lovely home. What more could you ask from a night out?

Lovely vibes and food.
I went to a recent singles night and had a great time! Didn't have any problem with the service, and it was easy to forget you were in someone's home, not an actual restaurant (though coming from a big family, I shouldn't be surprised that you can get nearly 30 people fed in the same room!). Uyen was on her own that night, and there's just something that bit more special about having a 'real' person show you in and cook your food, as opposed to a chef slaving away behind the scenes (although I appreciate a chef's efforts as much, I guess it's the personal factor).
I felt welcome and relaxed, and have been recommending them to everyone I know. So glad my first experience of a supperclub was such a positive one; for ÂŁ35 the food was top-notch and great value. I'll definitely come again.

I went to Fernandez & Leluu a couple of weeks ago for F&L's very first Singles Night. As I was going by myself, it was with a fair amount of trepidation, including my standing outside the front door for about one minute, going "why in the hell am I doing this?" and mentally slapping myself, before going in.
I needn't have worried.
Uyen was near the front door, and, once she'd realised I was on my own, she introduced me to the other ladies who'd arrived before me. We got on fairly well and ended up sitting at the same table, while waiting for the men to come to us, so to speak.
Given that this was the first time she'd organised it, I think it went pretty well. The food was great - as expected - although there was some consternation around the table once we'd realised that frogs' legs had been served up (and not chicken wings as the others thought), and the rotating of the men was a little disorganised (I think I met possibly seven out of the 12/15 men who were supposed to be there), but, all in all, it was good fun.
As a previous reviewer has commented, there was indeed a copious amount of alcohol. In our case, there was also a lot of cheese, as Uyen had asked us to bring along a block of cheese to represent our personalities beforehand. I think we all put in some effort but were thwarted at the end as all the cheese was served out on a board and none of us could recognise which one we'd brought. Still, I love cheese, so I didn't care too much as long as I got to eat some good ones!
I've heard from others that the service can seem a little standoff-ish, and I don't necessarily disagree or agree with that statement. I didn't speak to Uyen much through the night at all, other than at the end when we bumped into each other when I'd gone to the bathroom. During that encounter though, she asked how I was (great), whether I was enjoying myself (yes, I was) and whether there were any people I'd hit it off with (yes, but he'd left without asking for my details). Upon hearing my response to the last question, she offered some words of comfort (he came across as very shy) which were nice to hear.
Still, it's a busy environment and it's difficult to please everyone, and I believe, having had some e-mail correspondence with her, that she does try!

The food was all-in-all good. The location was also nice, beautiful decorations.
The only point I was missing was the sucked up bitch from service, where the location has not to wipe on..
Feedback:
Nice Restauraunt, nearly a must-be in London ;)

"Sucked up bitch?" wow that is a little harsh - if only I have a record of you being in my house. And plus, this is NOT a restaurant. Its my home.

Having been here so many times, I've thought about asking if I can move in. Quite staggering value for such high-quality nosh time and time again. Usually six or seven courses (sometimes eight!), my only criticism is the potential liver damage from the copious levels of alcohol consumption each time. As you're usually on a table, each person having arrived with their own bottle or two, not having to order like in a restaurant or bar, one does tend to overdo it fairly quickly. My fault, I know.
This place has been getting a lot of attention and deservedly so - an east London gem.
