Review of Parc Phoenix from 20 September 2012

The parc is a great place to go but there are two problems. First, if you go by bus there is almost nothing to indicate where to enter and when you do work it out you have to walk behind a petrol station through a very unattractive area and over 500 metres. If you take the wrong direction it is at least a kilometre. There should be a permanent entrance at the south end near the bus stops.
Secondly, if you are seriously interested in plants the system of labelling is very poor. Most plants are not labelled, some are wrongly labelled and the labels themselves are poorly maintained. To be a serious botanic garden this issue needs a lot of attention.
However if you are just interested in a pleasant outing, interesting animals and nice gardens this is still a good place to go to, which I recommend.

Review of Parc Phoenix from 23 March 2009

It is one of my favourite places in Nice, which is loved by children and adults alike. You will find all the things you expect from a parc in a town, a feeling of being lost in the scenery, activities for children as well as a bit of quiet in a noisy town. The small price to pay to access the parc is not to be neglected and for a family day out, Sunday is excellent. The most extraordinary place in the parc is the serra, you can experience all the different climates (dry, tropical,...) and for me, the best thing of all is the beautiful collection of orchids. So do not hesitate, just go for it.

Beautiful botanical gardens even when it’s raining!

Plenty of different species of animals and plants too see.

Fantastic location to take some memorable photos.

The Parc Phoenix is the place for spending a nice afternoon for people who like flora.

In fact you can discover in this place more than 2500 plant species and also some animals.

The ticket is at 2€ which is not expensive at all.
