Revolution bar is one of the newest clubs in Cardiff and is located opposite the castle. Its very large and spacious and has a very cool and modern design. The food is also very nice there and although ive only eat there once ive heared that it is constantly good. The menu is fairly extensive and there is something for everyone. Id definately recommend a visit!

Revolution is a vodka bar/nightclub opposite the castle in the centre of Cardiff. It’s massive inside and benefits from an upstairs club area, a small outdoors area to the side, a two-part main floor with two separate bars and some pretty large and cool toilets downstairs. There always seem to be bouncers on the door and they can get a bit shirty if you stand out on the street smoking or if you try to walk in wearing a beany or any kind of hat, but otherwise seem OK. The bar staff have been really nice every time i’ve visited (around 4 times now).

The decor is undoubtably cool and funky and there is stacks and stacks of room and plenty of plasma screens. The cocktails menu is huge and they are fairly reasonably priced (and there are always lots of offers on to bring down the prices) and the shots are great fun (milky bar flavour anyone, or chilli if you’re feeling adventurous)...the only thing is I don’t think that they are very good cocktails! A lot of them taste the same (of chemicals!), some of them aren’t mixed properly (so you can only drink half) and some are just nasty. The cocktails seem to be a bit like the place itself - gaudy and no substance (sorry if that sounds a bit harsh - this is just my personal opinion. Lots of my friends love this place).

Alright for a works night out or a friend’s party but if i was out and wanted a decent cocktail and atmosphere i’d get myself down to Buffalo on Windsor Place.

Oh, and they serve food but i’ve never managed to catch the kitchen so i can’t comment!

This is Cardiff’s newest bar and I have to say they have done a great job of it. The interior is very contemporary with a great outdoor terrace. Venture upstaires and you enter the club part of the venue, but it can get packed up their as anyone who is anyone wants to be seen in Revolution at the moment! The one downside of any “Revolution” bar is the price. Even on a Thursday night you can expect to pay high prices.

Revolution is the newest club/bar in Cardiff. In my opinion it is the second best after Oceana. From the outside it’s modern sleek doors and soft glow really drags you into this venue and in no time your ordering a round ice cold vodka shots. The main bar and chill out area is downstairs and the nightclub is upstairs. I usually hit the chill out area for a few hours since the seating is so spacious and there are no arguments over lack of chairs! The nightclub upstairs and get over crowded at times but usually there is a good vibe and I could quite easily stay there all night enjoying every inch of this club and every type of vodka they have going!
