Bleach

I had an appointment booked and when I arrived I was asked to wait half an hour when I finally sat down and said what i was in for, just a colour restyle, I had been put down for a cut and blow. The hairdresser had no time to do what I had wanted after i'd had this booked for a week and was looking forward. When we talked about what I wanted they said it was not possible an i would have to wait 4 months. I got it done exactly how i wanted for a lot cheaper and better service down the road. Very lovely staff just a shame it was not organised. Advise not to go, too expensive for what they offer anyway.

I had my hair done about 4 weeks ago by Stacey, and she did a brilliant job- the highlights are really natural and subtle but enough to really make a difference. I would recommend this place to anybody.

after booking this salon with a group on voucher i didnt know what to expect – I arrived to be greeted by warm smiles and lovely staff that made me feel at ease – after a consultation with Karl he decided that i should go for a softer all over colour – I was a bit nervous but realised I was in great hands – after my hair was coloured I asked his advice on what style after having my hair long for years he decided that a bob would suit me – I have been told by everyone that it really suits me – so due to the lovely way the staff treated me and how good Karl was he now has me as a loyal customer and has put my faith back into hairdressers – so thank you to all the team at Bleach and will see you in around 5 weeks for my next colour – Lisa Murphy

I had a great experience at Bleach. I went in looking like a bag of rags and thanks to Karl came out looking a million dollars. The staff were all lovely and Karl gave me great advice on what to do with my hair. Everyone has commented how much younger I look I am really very happy and can’t recommend them enough :) x

I have been to Bleach twice and been very happy both times. I had my haircut the first time and a treatment and blow dry the second and my hair felt amazing both times! I have really thick hair and Karl always takes so much time and care when blow drying it and makes it look amazing! Wouldn't go anywhere else now. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and Karl always remembers you.

Well... Where do I begin...?!

I decided to try Bleach out as it is close to where I live. Having previously always gone to Voodou I was a bit sceptical about trying somewhere new - and rightly so!

I went into the salon wanting to go blonde, which was a big change given that I hadnt coloured my hair in over 2 years and it was currently brown. When I told Karl that I wanted to change to blonde, firstly he tried to convince me that copper would be a better option but I was firm in wanting blonde, to which he finally gave into.

However he applied the colour and much to my horror when he took it off it was the same - if not slightly darker. Hmmm... Karls response was that it was "fabulous"... However, I disagreed having asked for blonde!!! He therefore suggested a toner but did not tell me this would in fact cost more, i foohlisly assumed it wouldnt as I hadn't got what I had asked for. He then applied the toner in random places..

The result of this is that I am now left with patchy blond sections in my hair (much to the confusion of my friends and family). In fact as it begins half way down my head I look like I had my hair dyed months ago! When Karl was applying the toner he stressed that it wouldnt look random and that it would blend in... This is not the case. The cut he was going for was apparently 'low maintainence'. However I would disagree, as would my friends as he went for lots of choppy layers which in my opinion are hard to manage, as well as doing nothing to disguise the patchy blond sections. These are paticularly bad at the back.

For all this I was charged £80!!!!

I contacted Karl today to complain about the pricing having looked at the price list again. An all over tint should have cost me £40 with a supposedly complimentary cut. Karl was in my opinion rather rude on the phone name dropping other salons and suggesting they would in fact charge upwards of £140 for the treatment I recieved.

I quickly contacted Voodou to book an appointment as soon as possible to correct my hair (as I have a grad ball and interview approaching) who said they would both cut and colour it for £50. Having been there before I trust theyll do a good job!

So all in all I have had to pay £130 for my hair which I expected to be blonde with a pretty basic bob style haircut. Aswell as this I was in the salon from 1.30pm until 6.15pm which resulted in me missing my shift at work which was due to begin at half 5! So I have also lost out on money in that respect as I assumed I would not be there that long!!

All in all I am pretty dissatisfied - to say the least; with the service I recieved, the price I paid for it and the rude and uncaring attitude that Karl spoke to me on the phone with. I would not recommend anyone to go here to be forced into getting a "cutting edge" haircut!

GO TO VOODOU!!!

I went to Bleach for a treat as i dont usually go to get my hair done. After arriving the staff were really nice. After removing my hair bobble jane commentated how lovely my hair was and how good the condition was. After 5 minutes of been there carl came over and was immiediatly trying to persuade me into having 8 inches off. (my hair was down to my bum all one lengh) I told carl and jane i didnt really want to have it cut much but just a trim. After half an hour of jane telling me it would make me look younger and more glamerous i decided to go ahead and have around 5 inches off. After 1 hour drying my hair with big roller brushes my hair was done. OMG it was really short and loads of different lenths. It looked just average i am not confrontational and said its ok and quickly left.. i left a £5 tip just because i leave tips wherever i go and jane was lovely just too persuasive. After getting home and brushing my hair it looked awfull. I hate my hair now and used to love it.... They did colour my hair which i really liked and was just what i wanted. I am just sooo sorry she chopped it all off. AFTER A GOOD FEW WEEKS GETTING USED TO MY NEW HAIR STYLE I CAN HONESTLY SAY I WAS A BIT TOO HARSH ON MY REVIEW. I THINK IT WAS SUCH A DRASTIC CHANGE IT TOOK A WHILR GETTING USED TO.. I DO LIKE MY HAIR NOW WHEN IT HAS BEEN PROFFESIONALLY BLOW DRIED.. I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGISE TO JANE IF SHE TOOK OFFENCE BY MY REVIEW... I ADMIT TO BEEN WRONG AND YOU WAS RIGHT TO CUT MY HAIR THE WAY YOU DID.. YOU WAS LOVELY AND FREINDLY.. SORRY AND THANK YOU... My first impression of Bleach was good though this was quickly changed by the attitude of the staff. I was sold some product that was apparently the "best" product though when it was used on my hair in the salon it was awful.

When I returned the following day to obtain my refund (which was prearranged) I was advised that I was the first person to complain about the product.

My haircut, well to be honest, this was not great either and looks as though it has been hacked and it was also uneven which I had get a family member to fix. When I complained, the owner took offence and was VERY rude to me.

Will I return, certainly not, I would rather support other local businesses. Would I recommend, certainly not, basically if you do not fit into a certain category of clientele then the staff do not seem to be that interested and do not take criticism too kindly.

We have been with karl for many years after trying many salons out inc voodoo. Bleach is by far the best hair salon. What a gem. Its very comfortable and karl and staff ALWAYS make you feel welcome the decor of the place is fantastic and so comfy to sit in. It has that home from home feel. From the minute you walk in you can feel the friendly atmosphere. The staff are very dedicated and are very experienced. After all the years of straightning our hair and the state it was in Karl is the only hairdresser who seen this right you can put your ultimate trust in him and we are so honored to have found a truley wonderful hairdresser for life.
REMEMBER EVERYBODY BLEACH IS THE WORD.

I had a great experience at Bleach. Karl and his staff did a great job, took care of me, consulted, suggested etc.....I was over visiting from the USA and when back in Liverpool would go back without hesitation....

After months of usually going to voudoo for my cut and colour, I decided to try Bleach as it was close to were I live. The staff were really friendly and Stacey who cut and blew my hair ldid it lovely and i was really happy.

i had my consultation on my colour with another member of staff who i felt either didn't understand the colour i was after or didn't listen. my roots turned out a different colour to the rest of my hair.

I went back a few days later after various comments from family & Friends, and again - everyone was really friendly. I even showed a photo of myself with the colour i usually get. i didin't get this colour - i went from a bleach silvery blonde (which had taken me a while to get) to a dark blonde/ mousey brown - a million miles from what i wanted. i would agree with Vicky in that you have to be demanding in what you want, as i got what they thought i should have instead.

Given that there isn't a real difference in price any way, i would reccommend Voudoo over Bleach anyday.

I love my visits to Bleach, at last i have found a salon that i feel comfortable visiting. Karl and his staff are so warm and friendly and instantly make you feel as though you matter! While i was there today a client was not happy with the result of her colour. Karl just took it on the chin and immediately remedied the problem. I was very impressed with his calm proffesional manner.I am very happy with my hair and the lovely Lotty blow drys to perfection! Highly reccomended.

What an experience........
Sadly not in a good way. Visiting this salon i was expecting to leave feeling like a million dollars but ended up upset, annoyed and £50 down, with hair that looked like i'd been attacked by a lawnmower. Friends and family thought i was exaggerating until they saw me and all had to admit it looked awful. I wanted to cry!
If you do decide to go here, be very certain and demanding of what you want. I tried to say that i did not want something doing, and the sylist went ahead and did it anyway.
It is 3 weeks since having my hair 'styled' at this salon and luckily it is starting to grow out, but it will take a while for the stumpy bits to grow back. I am now sticking to my usual hairdresser and will not be returning to Bleach!

Cant believe it - fabulous haircut and colour, Karl gave me the confidence to change my hair slightly and what a difference it has made.
I am getting married in March andhave booked in for the top to toe, am as excited about that as the wedding itself.
My sister is my bridesmaid and when she saw my hair booked in as well - FAB.
