Review of Gänseliesel from 29 February 2008

The Goose Girl / Gänseliesel for Göttingen is like the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin or the Eiffeltower in Paris.

Every tourist takes a photo here. The monument is as old as the Göttinger Sparkasse, 1901.

The figure was replaced through a replica in 1990 - but you can see the original in the city museum.

If you do your PhD at the Georg-August University you are supposed to kiss the Goose Girl.
