Superb. The food was really good. Definately recomend the chicken and bbq sauce dish. House wine was really nice, especially for the money. I assume it was the landlord who came and had a chat with us and he was very friendly. Definately not rude as Samuel5577 said. Bar staff were extremely good. Went back for a novelty quiz 2 sundays ago and it was a great laugh. Apparently they are doing another one in a few months. Count me in, especially for the live “music” round. Absolutely hysterical, not a dry eye in the house! Big thumbs up, keep up the good work!
Great pub, good atmosphere, very friendly, food excellent and good live music, also family friendly, have eaten there a few times and will definitely go back again, very friendly landlord and landlady
The Crown Inn is how a pub should be. Good drinks on offer behind the bar including Real Ales and the drinks are reasonably priced. Salvo and Gwyneth the landlord and landlady are very friendly people and always have a smile on their faces (which is more than most pub owners have) and will always come and chat with the customers. You will always find food being served at the pub from 12 till 2.30pm and 6 till 8.45pm. Always a good mixture to choose from and it is always top notch. Most weekends you will find a live band playing in the pub and most the time the music provided is sport on. The TV is never normally on unless there a major sporting event happening (football, rugby etc.) This is a great pub that everyone should visit as lest once if they get the opportunity to.
This is a lovely pub, really warm and welcoming. It's right on the A473 between Treforest and Talbot Green with plenty of parking at the back. The inside has recently been redecorate with a warm neutral feel and the outside is currently being painted purple!
There's a good selection of real ales (my housemate is a CAMRA member and he loves their choices). For non beer drinkers then there are plenty of other options available both alcoholic and soft alike.
We often go there for the quiz on a Sunday and they put on a lovely selection of sandwiches and the friendly rivalry and banter is great. If you are going for the quiz, get their early to secure a table otherwise you won't hear the questions!
The Crown Inn has been refurbished inside and offers real ale, good food and conversation.
Families are welcome as are dogs on leads.
There is usuallly no TV in the bar (except for rugby matches) However there is one in the Function room which you are welcome to watch.
We have our own ladies darts team and welcome any men who would like to start their own team. The Lounge has leather sofas for you to relax and outside is a patio area.
Meals are available every day except Sunday night, 12-2 for lunch and 6-9 for dinner. We can cater for parties, christenings, weddings and funerals. There are also facilities for you to run training events or business meetings.
Quiz night is 8-30pm on Sunday and is always fun. money raised goes to RSPCA or Ysgol Ty Coch
Ample parking is found at the rear or there is a bus stop right outside.
