The palace makes Louvre like a warehouse. The sheer richness and decoration of the rooms can make you imagine how wealthy the royal families were.
The entrance fee comes with the audio guide, which is very interesting for the first few rooms, but getting dull and boring after several rooms.
The “backyard” is so huge, you can’t see the end.
Two types of admission, take the simple one which gives you access to the palace and main garden. The complete one enables you to explore the whole garden, up to the “small” houses of Antoinette. But believe me, you wouldn’t have that much energy to go that far. Except you’ve planned to spend a whole day in Versailles, the palace and main garden is more than enough.
