The Eagle is the perfect place to meet either socially or for a special occasion. Great stylish comfortable surroundings make it a great place to use for private parties and meetings and both of our venues are available to hire.

I have been to simple bar a few times now, and I cannot recommend it high enough. The staff are amazing and the food is just yummy
Simple is amazing! This was my first visit to the bar/restaurant and it won’t be my last. It was a very busy Friday evening, yet we were looked after from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, the service is second to none. Our food was lovely, my boyfriend had the steak and said it was cooked to perfection! A lovely place with a great atmosphere, highly recommended!!
Simple is amazing!
The food is delicious and the menu is varied, i never know what to get!
The cocktails are lovely and really different.
and even when its busy they still look after you tremedously.
I would definatly reccommend it!
Simple was one of the first Manchester bars I visited, it was in 2006, and it happened thanks to Futuresonic annual festival. Since then I’ve been there quite a few times, and even celebrated their 7th birthday in 2008.
For food they offer a good selection of pizzas, and drinks at the bar never disappoint. They also squeeze fresh orange juice for the healthiest of us.
I’ve always loved Simple’s interior. It is fairly laid-back but stylish, and their outdoor seating may be the symbol of what Northern Quarter is about. You are in the busy street and yet sufficiently above the maddening noise. You are in a trendy place but everyone is chilling out. You can be yourself and enjoy the company and drinks. What more can you wish for?
Better yet, Simple is one of those places in Manchester that cleverly utilise the power of Social Media. They accumulate fans and keep them updated with the help of Facebook, as well as spread the word about special offers, happy hours, and seasonal events.
Located at the bottom end of Tib Street (close to city centre), Simple is easy to find. They have Affleck’s Palace and Hedonist hairdressers for the neighbours, as well as a few adult shops and a Birkama Yoga studio. However you may like to think about it, it is a very well located bar, as Simple as that.
simplebar Thank you for your kind word, its good to hear !

One of my favourite places in Manchester. I must have been there over a dozen times.
Very relaxed, good variety of foods on offer and the best desserts. Personal favourites include the new york waffle and the cheesecake.
Plus they sell Rekorderlig, anywhere that sells Rekorderlig gets a thumbs up from me.
Only minor thing for me would be that even though they do table service their customer service is just ok.
simplebar Thanks for your comments we glad you love the desserts , we love our sugar rush and just to let you know we just started a new 10 day training programme for all our staff to improve customer service

I waited nearly one hour for my food (overcooked skinny ribs); they should have had more staff in the kitchen, as they had two big bookings (just one chef). All I got in compensation was half a bowl of olives. Very nice raspberry and lime mojito, but the blackboard stated clearly £1.25 and I was charged £7.25; according to the waitress it was a 7, not a 1. Very nice staff at least, anyway... Won't come back
simplebar Hi
Im the owner of Simple , can i ask you was it at Simple at the Light ?
Im really sorry we didnt look after you , one chef in the kitchen is bad let me look into this , as for the cocktail they are always 7.25 for the cocktail of the week ill make sure the guys write clearer.
Id like you to come in again and see what its like normally , email me at info@simplebar.co.uk if you'd like to take me up on the offer.
Once again sorry for the bad service , this isnt how we do it at either Simple.

Simple came recommended to me as a great place for lunch with the missus on a Saturday. We actually ate in the new bar next to The Light, but the decor and menu seemed the same.
There is a good sized menu and plenty of offers if you're looking for a bargain. Service was friendly and quick, and the food was great.
We'll be heading back with the kids to see if they give it the thumbs-up too.

Great location, stylish decor, friendly staff and great food. Definitely recommend
Simple is one of those places that I wish I could like. Unfortunately, it's not to be. Not because it's bad, but just because it's a bit...dull.
Perhaps I've just been at bad times, but whenever I've popped into Simple for a drink, it's been dull and dark and devoid of that spark which makes it a truly good bar. Still, it must be doing something right though, as every time I've been here, it's been relatively busy - filled with all of those bright young Northern Quarter types sipping Staropramen and white wine.
It does have one thing in its favour though, and that's its location. Hidden away near Tib Street, it's nicely tucked back from all the hustle and bustle of Oldham Street, making it a good place for a quiet pint or two prior to going on to a bigger and more atmospheric bar like Trof or Socio Rehab.
Simple is nice - but nothing more. It's a good place to meet friends prior to a big night out, but if you're looking for something a bit more exciting, you're probably best off looking elsewhere.
simplebar Hi
Im Michael the owner , thanks for your comments. At Simple we love feedback - it helps us get better. We're having a mini make over in the next few months, hopefully if you pop by you might see some of the little sparks were adding.

Simple, in the Northern Quarter, is a perennial favourite of many and I can't for the life of me think why.
Now, maybe you're thinking that a damning review is coming your way... but you'd be wrong. That's because I literally can't think what Simple is like.
I've been in on a number of occasions and it is like someone erased every memory I had of it or, possibly more likely, it is a largely forgettable place.
I know that they serve atypical Northern Quarter beer (see Staropramen and the like) and dole out food that does the trick.
But really, this is just some place that I've been to that was neither offensive nor great.
That's it.
What a cruddy review.
simplebar Hi , im Michael the owner , cheers for the feedback - it helps us get better, If you ever want to stop by again try the homemade cheesecake or Sticky toffee pudding - you'll remember them for life.

Simple is a lovely little place. They have a cracking selection of beers, the food is great (the assiette of chocolate desserts received rapturous applause from myself and my friend and we polished it off in approx. 3 seconds) and the decor is clean and simple (pardon the pun).
It reminds me very much of the bars I visited in New York and the food offered is along the same lines (ribs, cheesecake, nachos). There's also a Happy Hour from 5-8pm Monday to Friday for that after-work much needed booze. Or is that just me?
simplebar Thanks for your comments its always nice to hear !

An original Northern Quater bar with a sleek but cosy atmosphere, perfect for after-work drinks. I have also had great nights out here as the place comes to life at the weekends with a seasonal DJ rosta.
Their New-York style brunch is amazing!
Definately worth a visit when in the Northern Q.
simplebar Thanks for the comments, we love Brunch and keep your eyes peeled for an ever NYC brunch menu coming soon.

Great food and atmosphere for a reasonable price.. service was quick and friendly. Good choice of food on the menu too. I would especially recommend the burgers and cheesecake! Good for drinks/a night out also.
simplebar We love our cheesecake , we're glad you do to. We're currently working on new toppings , if you've any ideas let us know, thanks for your comments.

If you want a chilled atmosphere and fab food Simple is the answer.
My friend and I popped in for a drink and ended staying all afternoon.
The burgers are the best in Manchester by a mile!
simplebar When we first thought of putting burgers on the menu we know 2 things, they had to be homemade and they had to be AMAZING, thanks for your comments.

I go out in the Northern Quarter every now and then and when I do I normally meet my mates in Simple, it’s been open a few years now and is one of the trendier bars in the Northern Quarter. The Northern Quarter seem to be the place to drink these day, once it use to be a dump but now it’s a great night out. It’s a great place to start a night out, or you can just nip in when shopping in town. It’s a trendy little place with lots of light. When I have some mates over from Amsterdam we went here for a few drinks, they loved it because they do a lot of European beers that you don’t get anywhere else it down, so if you like beers your will like it here
simplebar Thanks for your comments, its always nice to hear.

Simple is simple, hidden away on Tib Street. Before Simple it was one of the best bars in town, frequented by the original NQ crowd before the area was transformed - but it was very short lived, which was a real shame - it was at the forefront of the NQ bar revolution along with Cord, retro before retro was in. But now, not much different than all the other NQ bars - apart from the fact that it is simple enough to enjoy.
Simple is Manchester’s best kept secret. It is nestled within the ever increasing Northern Quarter, on one of Manchester’s most historical streets, Tibb Street. I like the laid back atmosphere for eating, drinking and meeting friends(Comfy leather sofas for chilling out).
I’m not a big fan of eating in pubs because I’m always disappointed by artificial taste of what is put in front of me. Simple is different, their menu is broad enough to tackle any taste bud.Their food is fresh and the chips are chunky homemade (wedges) and they only serve foreign lagers.
PS: l recommend you go for the Czech lager “Staropromen” if you are into lager they staff will know what you’re talking about!
simplebar Thanks for your comments, its always nice to hear
