One of the few premier league teams to still run tours on a matchday – a great chance to see some of the current stars!
On a good day you can see the coast..on a bad day you can see s*nderland.

Nice stadium, bar on site, the Strawberry across the road and a metro station 200m away.

great tour of the ground, our tour guide was excellent, not only feeding the adults’ mind with the facts which we were craving but also having things to keep the interests of our younger party members. very thorough look around which helps you to get a picture of how the ground functions.
impressive all round and thoroughly good fun, i’d recommend to any visitor to newcastle to go on it.
very easy to access with the ground being visible from all over the city

Hardly an example of a good “Premiership” ground any more, but is definitely one to see in the Championship.
SJP is situated close to the city centre so within easy reach of a number of bars and pre-match strip joints. We ended up in Rosy’s bar which was intimate and showed Sky Sports News.
The view from up in the Gods is amazing for looking across the city, but the players look like little ants and be warned, your knees will feel the strain. The stairs are absolutely endless!

I think if your’e interested in buildings then you have to see this one.It realy is the biggest eyesore imaginable.Having said that it is the home ground of Newcastle United football club who has many fans and use and love it well.
It’s interest to me is for the conference facilities. They offer good rates for this and it’s a good venue for even a family party to a works do.Based quite central and easy to get to worth having a look at if nothing else.

A very impressive stadium.
I must admit I’ve never been to a match here but I did attend a conference at St James’ Park a few years ago and I was hugely impressed by the place. From the underground parking to the boxes where we held the meetings, the whole place oozed class. Even without any football being played the place still had a tangible atmosphere -- heavens only knows what the place must be like on a match day!
The facilities were excellent, the staff friendly and the food we had was very good. All in all it was an excellent place for a conference, and I daresay it’s an excellent place to watch football too.

Stadium 1 - Team 0
One of the premiurships best grounds for size and atmosphere, a pie and a pint at half time will come at a price but that is to be expected at a premiurship ground!

A great club this is large and well maintained. Great for a night out with excellent food and discos in the bar. The atmosphere on a club day is amazing. There is parking next to this place but it is best to try and come up early on a match day or get the metro which is close buy. The tickets are expensive and have to be prebought as there are usually sold out on the day though there have been more available recently. There is a place to buy beer and food but I would wait until the match is over hear into newcastle for some food and wait until the crowds have left to make your way home.

A great place to visit whether you’re a football fan or not. The atmosphere in St. James Park is second to none. Extremely friendly fans will surround you whichever way you look.
Some of the restaurants also serve great food at prices which are quite desirable and you can get free tours of the park with many meals. All in all a n excellent premiership ground.

Very big ground which can hold up to 52,000 fans.
I went there in 2006 as a Sheffield United fan (1-0) and the view was great, even though i felt like i had climbed everest after the countless set of stair i had to climb to get to the away end!
Also don’t bother going for a pint at half time, the place was heaving when i went and there was only the 1 food outlet!
If you have never been there before and do not know the city of Newcastle too well then it may be like walking through a concrete maze when going to St. James, I would suggest going on the Metro and getting off at either Monument station or St. James.

no i’m not a newcastle fan and would never claim to be one.i have visited here for a few games though and it’s brilliant.i’ve never tried the food but this is a truly top notch stadium.it’s very near the city centre so is easy to get to and the atmosphere is normally superb.it’s no old trafford but ever since it went all seated it has to be one of the best grounds in England with a big capacity.the bars around it are also good for a quick pint before the game.

St James Park is not referred to locally as “The Cathedral on the Hill”for nothing,it really is pretty huge and sits above the city -from the gateshead (south)side of the river its presence is awesome.
Compared to some far bigger Stadia-eg Barcelona St James has got the lot-modern aesthetically pleasing building with as much in the way of creature comforts as you are prepared to pay for, from basic seats which all have a bar area annexed to them where you can get a pie and a pint right up to private boxes with silver service. It seats in excess of 52,000.There is a metro (local train service abit like the tube)station which specifically serves St James nearby. The atmosphere in St James is always interesting and tends to change depending upon how the team are playing!!!!
