Well located hostel type place as opposed to hotel. Appeals mainly to the younger less critical crowd! Cheap and cheerful would best describe this place I suspect. However it is in a good location for access to the port and the ferries which ply between the other Amalfi coast ports like,Capri,Amalfi,Ravello,Sorrento. Wherever you stay in Positano you need to be fit,the stone steps are a killer,and everything is uphill. The view of the town from the harbour is something you will never forget though.

Dont be fooled by what you read else where. This place is a hostel, a backpackers…so if you are a family, dont be surprized if you dont like it. Yes there maybe some cleanliness issues, but no more than any motel ive stayed in, and if the owner didnt like you, its probably cus you are an idiot.
This is one of the best hostels i have ever stayed in my life. Hands down the best view ever. set on the slopes of the almalfi coast and with 3 levels of veranda’s the brikettte is on the more local side of the area, surronded by great little cafes.
I stayed in a private with my girl friend, which was very nice and quiet, with the top massive balcony..it was alittle more money, but totally worth it
