A superb hostelry that Judi and I stumbled across some years ago and then found again by fortuitous accident only recently.

The food is excellent, the menu modern and enticing, the wines lovely (the best Cabernet Sauvignon I have sipped for a long time!) and the service friendly and helpful.

The wonderful, warm Bath stone building welcomes you from the start and the setting of this pretty village is the final cherry on what is altogether a splendid, celebratory cake!

I was going to add some items from the menu but you can see for yourself on their own website.

The only down side as far as I'm concerned, is that I live in Kent. That makes it a bit of a long walk to pop out here for lunch!

Go there - you won't regret it!
