A fabby little cobblers tucked away behind the Town Hall. We’ve had keys cut here (which worked first time - itself a novelty) and recently I took a pair of sandals in to be repaired, where the buckle had been broken.

He said that it would be ready the following day, but when I returned he was full of apologies as he had forgotten to do it. But he was so nice about it, that I wasn’t angry. He promised to do it there and then, and asked me to return a little later that evening. True to his word, he had done the repair (perfectly) and charged me only €3.

An absolute bargain.

It’s worth knowing about this useful small one-man operated shoe repairers and key cutters in the centre of Vilanova i la Geltrú, as you’d never find it by accident. It’s located in a very small covered shopping centre – only a few shops – just off Calle Collegi, behind the old town hall. We were pleased with the service, prices are very reasonable and, judging by the piles of shoes and steady stream of customers, others are too.
