The service I received from BLC is nothing sort of abysmal. I agreed to being charged a premium to have someone come on a Saturday, and I was told it would be between 9am and 12pm. At 12.30 the engineer called to say they were 20min away. By 3.30pm I finally gave up and left the house. While I was out for dinner I received a call at 8.30pm to see if he could come around. Infuriating.
On Monday BLC emailed me a receipt because I had been charged for the services (which I never received). When I called up to complain I was told that it would take 30 days to get a refund. Only after many calls and complaints (and unreturned calls) did they agree to give me my cash back in 5 days. That took threatening them with complaints to the financial ombudsman and registering the charge as fraud.
Since they take your bank card details they hold all the power and as a client you are opened to being screwed over.
