Great selected of freshly baked breads, cookies and cakes. I got a chocolate cake here the other day for a birthday party and it was moist and delicious. I was so busy enjoying my slab of chocolately goodness that I have no recollection of whether everyone else liked it too. (It did seem to disappear quite quickly though so that’s usually a good sign!)

This is the best bakery I’ve been to, except for Barbakan in Manchester, which is a deli as well and in a league of its own! Looks like nothing from the outside, but inside it’s packed with freshly baked bread, made on the premises, an amazing selection of cakes and tarts, plus some hot pasties. The staff are numerous and helpful. And to top it all off, it’s cheap. After buying my fresh bread from the more expensive places nearby (Fresh and Wild for instance), once I’d been to the Little Baker, I’ve never looked back.
