This is a 'MUST GO TO' place, especially if you have kids and you want them to learn something new. The place is amazing and on top of that is free. Even though I've visited the observatory countless times, each new visit is like the first one, I'm all excited about it, I my self feel like a little kid ready to explore. Another thing to add is that there's a big park where you can hang out with your friends or plan a picnic with your family.

Like the Old Royal Naval College, the observatory is an absolute 'must-see' in Greenwich...and it's free! The story of Longitude is explained and you can see Harrison's H4 Clock, which solved the problem of establishing East-West position at sea...eventually making Greenwich the Prime Meridian of the World. Straddling the line between the eastern and western hemispheres of the Earth is great fun for kids and adults alike.

I´ve been there about ten years ago and I really liked it a lot. But we had no guide and didn´t understand everything, not because of the language but because the signs didn´t explain itself clearly. But still I really enjoyed beeing there. It surely isn´t the most interesting place to be when you´re in London but a nice place to go when you like it green and quiet.

A fully interactive experience for children and adults alike. The buzz always seems to be there. You can see all of Greenwich from this vantage point.

one of my fave places in London. i used to come here as a child and run down the lovely steep hill from the observatory towards the river. the surrounding park is great for footy, strolls or equestrian eventing. the observatory has a historic feel, and you must step across the brass Greenwich Meridian line next to it. after all, wasn’t this where GMT was invented…

The Orb is dedicated to encouraging the study of Astronomy and related subjects for the benefit of its members and the general public, a lovely place to visit, very inspiratory and exciting!

(updated on 11 April 2008 )

Update I was in here yesterday and not only did I find many fabulous dresses, I wanted to buy one with a tiny rip in it. The staff were lovely and sewed it up for me no questions asked. The new stock they have is fantastic - lots of lovely 60s dresses. I’m upping this place to five stars they’ve made me so happy! Update

I wish I could find things I liked in here. Actually, I just wish I could pull of the whole vintage thing. I can never find anything that suits me here. Which is really annoying becuase the clothes are really good quality and look great.

It’s not overpriced. Everything is good quality. It’s great. I just never buy anything in here.

Still, doesn’t mean it’s any less fun trawling through all the goodies. It’s having a bit of a refurb upstairs at the moment so everything is cheap! Hooray! I’ll try on even better value stuff and not buy anything.
