Menu is full of things you can never find anywhere else and it pays to be adventurous! :D

I love this place. I have to admit I did feel a little unwelcome at first, as I turned up without a reservation on a very busy night, but normally it's quiet enough that you dont need one. How was I to know!?

Apart from this one little incident, the food is delicious (I think Michelin recommended?) and there is a good variety of foods and flavours. I'm not vegetarian, but I do enjoy everything on the menu, and I've tried a fair bit. I love the plantain dishes.

The decor and atmosphere is a bit strange, it looks greek more than Indian with the naked white statues, then there is the yellow and brown colouring all over. Weird. Doesn't distract from the food though!

Lovely people. Lovely food. Decent price. Fresh. Clean. Couldn't ask for better & I'm not a Vegetarian and I'll keep going back. Best part about my old girlfriend was her introducing me to the Kastoori. Not kidding.

Really interesting food

Any restaurant manger who greets you with 'Happy Diwali- Yeh' is throwing a greeting at you rather than welcoming you to his restaurant. His greetings and manner was so out of ordinary that 5 of us, who went there on Diwali, were rather taken back and did not know how to respond. I noticed all of us buried our heads in our menus and muttered our thank you. Their drinks were fine, especially the sweet Lassi, which was very pleasant. I am not sure how they can call Faluda drink authentic Indian, if it is topped with sprayed cream from a can which has spoon buried in it all the way to the tip, so you have to retrieve by dipping you fingers in the the cream. How can Faluda drink have no vermicelli in it? To substitute kulfi with cheap sprayed cream is height of ignorance for the server and treating the customer as stupid.

Most starters were fine except the 2 Chilli Panner we ordered. I've never come across Chilli Paneer which is buried in tomato gravy and which has green peppers which have been cooked to death to look sad greenish gray colour and loose their texture and flavour.

I could not believe the waiters ignorance when he started passing us the main course plates without first having cleared the dirty starters plates. Even when he did get around to clearing them, he could not help but leave one dirty plate in the middle of the table, which we had to move over to the end of the table to create place for our main course.

Their aubergines were bitter and almost everyone of us left it on the plate. Their main course dishes, apart from Matoki, had nothing special about them. Their cofta curry were swamped with overpowering taste of Aniseed.

When it came to the bill, they said they did not except Master card, without giving any reason as to why. Luckily, one of us had a Visa. When they put it through, that did not go through either. We noticed the manger disappeared to the back with the card and the machine without offering us any explanation or apology. Is it possible they had not paid their dues to Visa and MasterCard? Luckily, another one of us had a debit card, which was excepted quite readily. Not once were we offered any apology for the inconvinience.£87 for 5 of us without any alcoholic beverage and desert is also not particularly good value for a very very ordinary meal and pathetic service.

All in all a ruined Diwali evening which should have been the highlight of our day

Looks like almost any other curry house, but this is quite exceptional - especially if you are veggie. You’re in for a treat. Amazingly fresh ingredients and unusual menu.

great veggie indian restaurant, a cut above others that I have tried. freshness and quality are defining this place. Go try it, you won’t be disappointed by the food.

Vegetarian Indian restaurant, that feels really different to the standard fare. The starters are amazing, and even the chutneys that come with the poppadums are a cut above. It can be a bit pricey and the portions aren’t huge, but the food is fresh and good quality and the service is good.

Not just the best vegetarian curry I’ve had, but probably my favourite curry restaurant in London. The cuisine has East African influences. The available specials vary depending on the day, but there are amazing dishes based on puffed rice, aubergine, banana. It may not have the nicest interior decor, but this is a must visit if you like curry. Extremely good value and very tasty.

This is an Indian vegetarian restaurant not far from Tooting Bec tube station. This place does the best veggie samosa ever, tasty and filling. They are served with a carrot chutney. My mouth is watering just thinking about the samosas. The staff are friendly and attentive, well worth a visit.

Not your standard curry restaurant: vegetarian, small portions, great taste, fresh, different. Love the cinnamon flavoured starter and the coriander and mint stuffed paneer with coconut sauce.

Probably the most exciting Indian in Tooting (and there are lots to choose from). Although it’s vegetarian, meat eaters barely notice as there are so many interesting specialities on the menu. The dosas are particularly good, and lager is served by the pint. Daily specials include a banana curry, which is well worth a try
