A small street lined with 11 houses that forms part of the Prague Castle complex, Golden Lane is quite unique. The street itself has been part of the complex for many centuries and has always had a domestic use.
Trying to imitate its uses of old with a variety of stores and exhibitions, it is terribly disappointing and due to its passage-like shape makes you feel as if you’ve literally landed in a tourist-trap, with only one way out.
It ends at the old armoury and jail of the castle. Here a cobbled together exhibition shows some of the torture tools of old.
The castle is impressive in many ways, don’t let this spoil your visit.
