As a historically interested person, one should have paid the Roman-German Museum a visit.
I have been there a couple of times, but today I have to say I could not stand it anymore. The old-fashioned concept of this museum with a strict “look, but don’t touch” philosophy drastically underlines the deadness of all these objects shown behind glass.
Despite the surely excellent collection the visitor does not learn much about the Roman-German culture. There is no opportunity to experience anything but through visual perception.
